For day one of our Costa Rica shoot, we took to Escazu, a province in the capital city of San Jose. This town is filled with so much charm and the people are so friendly and warm. It made for a wonderful day of shooting lifestyle and flat shots for spring.

We found some really cool street scenes, an old church in the middle of town, and best of all, a view to die for on top of a hill overlooking San Jose. There’s a quaint, rustic restaurant up there called Tiquicia. If you’re ever in San Jose, this place is a must stop. They have THE most amazing tilapia we have ever had as well as other traditional Costa Rican dishes that are absolutely delicious. And the view…well, it speaks for itself!

We recently got to do a little Q&A with the design team behind Bailey 44.  Here’s what they had to say:

Who are your biggest influences when designing for Bailey 44?

B44: Our biggest influences are our customers!

What is the most challenging aspect of your jobs?

B44: The most challenging aspect of our job is reinventing ourselves by bringing new and innovative designs to the market. Also, creating a brand and spreading Bailey44 into closets around the world.

 What fashion trend are you most looking forward to for Spring 2012?

B44: Color blocking! Bold solid color pieces like the Bailey44 Ponte Scalloped Clover dress from our Spring 2012 collection featured in black and white and sky blue and white were among our favorites. Another fashion favorite was our lurex stripes mixed with natural shades of taupe and ash making the silhouette wearable day to night.

Tell us a little bit about who the Bailey 44 woman is.

B44: Bailey44 encompasses numerous lifestyles. Bailey Core fits everyone's needs. Bailey dresses meet the needs of working woman by day and is also perfect for evening. Of course, Bailey44 provides our girl with sexy yet wearable tops and dresses with numerous choices and luscious fabrics.

In your opinion, what is a women's best fashion accessory?

B44: A woman's best fashion accessory is her confidence.

If there was an ultimate muse for Bailey 44, which celebrity would it be and why? :

B44: We would choose with Gwyneth Paltrow who is a working mother and on the other hand presents the gamut of the modern, stylish woman.
