Fear or Faith?

When we have Fear as a driving force, we are in a negative mode,
reacting to what is around us, whereas when we have faith as a driving
force, we are in a positive mindset, and respond to the things around
us...and we can play our own game.

So if we want to get ahead and be in control of our lives, we must be
mindful to have faith as our motivator...it will give us the "can do"
attitude, which allows us to better achieve things we "set" our minds to.

Also, when we are not afraid...we start to live.

BTW - Faith also helps out a bit, in golf.

Our Record

I have some questions about the "Record" that plays inside our heads.

To clarify...it's our internal self-talk, and is our perception of how
we think about ourselves and our abilities and situation...and it is
virtually the same today as it was yesterday and the day before and the
month before...

It's usually not as good as
it should be and we attempt to take it to the "Next Level" by wearing the "Winner"
stickers the day of the workshop, taking the picture in the throne -
confirming that you ARE Royalty, putting your goals on the Billion
dollar bill which signifies that you are worth at LEAST a Billion
dollars, throwing out positive blogs and other empowering stuff.

Why...because the "record" plays a big part in how we live now and in our futurre...and by
changing OUR "record" for the better, our lives do better as well.

I've had the Pleasure of...

Having a chat with many who have shared their challenges with me.

A common thread that weaves through most all of the conversations is that
the people all have been intently focusing on the challenges in their
lives.

They have "Spun it and Won it" by redirecting their focus on What is
good in their lives, or on a Solution, instead of their focusing on
their challenges.

Leadership

The world is in need of Leaders to demonstrate Leadership, and virtually
everyone can rise to the occasion - and stay there.

"Demonstrating" Leadership skills is the key factor.

One cannot be a Leader without demonstrating leadership skills...and
being a Leader means you are "in the process". A leader cannot be
outside what's going on, and tell people what to do - that's management.

A good litmus test in our ability to Lead is to ask this question - "
Does our Leadership meet resistance or greet persistence"? - If it
meets resistance - we are not involved enough, and all the dictating,
reprimanding and raising our voice will not solve the challenge.

Be a Leader and get involved in the process, and be the role model you
were meant to be.

Happiness and Health?

You bet - Happiness has a big deal with your overall health!

Being unhappy or sad, go hand in hand with some pretty unhealthy
habits, such as over eating, laying around all day, smoking, drinking
or doing drugs.

And even without some of the unhealthy habits, depressed people have an
increased chance of getting diabetes - up to 42% more likely,
researchers say.

And the challenging thing to being unhappy is that it is always our
choice...we may have occasions where we can slip into a state of
unhappiness, but again, it is our choice to stay there.

Some of us...

Relax better than others.

That's OK, if we choose to relax, when things are
handled, or when we need a break ...it's just a part of balancing out.

Relaxing is a great way to re-charge our "batteries" and get out of our
head a bit, allowing us to be refreshed to "get back to it" when we
need to.

Just as some of us find it little easier to work than relax, and if that's the case - maybe a little
balancing out is in order.

Maybe get back in touch...

With the one that has slipped away.

Love is for eternity and friendship lasts forever - so there is always
time to reach out to the one that has been overlooked, but not forgotten.

We all have that someone that we have not given enough attention to, it
may be a long lost friend, or even someone that is close to us
already, and has just been taken for granted.

Maybe getting back in touch would be exactly the right plan - it may just do a lot of good for both.

Making a Goal is just like...

Planning.

We all know how things go in our lives...it seems like we often don't have enough
time to fit things in, or do what we really want to do.

But when we set a goal or make a plan, our goals and plans usually work
out and get handled.

That's because we have declared where we want to go or what we want in our lives,
and we then tend to focus toward what we have declared.

So if we need to go somewhere, get something done, have more fun, or just need a
vacation, make it a goal or plan it out, and it will happen.

Fix it...

Or Patch it?

Some things work out great with either...but usually depends upon
timing.

Occasionally we need a quick patch to keep us going, for a short bit,
because stopping to fix it may take us out of the game and could bring
about some unwanted results.

And other times, a patch just won't let us keep going...for as long as
we need.

So in our lives, we can fix things or patch things, and just knowing
that fixing things in the long run, is our best bet - because
continuing to live on patches, will eventually lead to a blow out.

Bored?

Yes, we all can be...but the common thread in boredom is that we don't
really have something to look forward to or get excited about.

Many of us, go day to day and month to month doing the same thing,
work, eat, sleep and handling challenges, and after a while, there
seems to be no point.

But when we have something to look forward to, which is always our
choice to figure out what that would be, we can get excited about our
life and cut the routine of boredom.

Simply understanding that we all have to work, eat and sleep and it's
all just part of life and focusing on what we can get excited about, is
what will make our lives worth living.

Are we working out...

Just to work out, or are we working on something?

Some tend to work out, just to get the body moving and that's great,
but does our workout have a focus on the desired results?

Do we want to change the way are arms look? Would we like to see a
different stomach? How about wanting to increase our cardio?

All of our desires to change our bodies towards improvement can achieve
better results if we have a focus to our workouts.

So whatever you declare to get better or shape up - simply align your
efforts accordingly, and put the "beat down" on your focus, until you
achieve what you want.

Spin it and Win it...In the Future?

Yes, you can go into a future situation with different attitudes and perceptions.

You can go to a dental appointment with the view that "It will very
uncomfortable and that you will dread the shot and the drilling while
imagining the smoke billowing from your mouth as the Doctor hits a
nerve."

OR you can imagine that " I can't wait to see my dentist again because
I always get a new toothbrush and some floss and that you haven't had
your teeth drilled in a long time and that you are really excited to
get the work done to keep your oral hygiene the best it can be...and
the smoke from the drilling has a unique smell that you can't get
anywhere else."

Just - Spin it and Win it - Before it happens.

Stand Tall and Walk Proud?

Why not? - There are a Ton of benefits.

Firstly, when we have stood tall and walked proud in the past, it's
probably because we have just done something great, and our body is
showing off a bit...so doing it in advance will demand future actions
of greatness.

Secondly, when we stand tall and walk proud, we expand our internal
organs and engage our muscles and joints to the position that they are
supposed to be in, allowing the body to "flow" as it is made to do...Plus it's a great change from slumping over or slouching.

So always remember, standing tall and walking proud gives us the
one-two punch that our lives and bodies need, while giving us an emotional and
physical boost as well.

Pressure is a Privilege.

Anyone can look good when things are clicking, in abundance or with a tail wind.

The time we meet a little resistance, is when the bright lights shine, and the game begins.

Many great Leaders get a little nervous when things are going smoothly,
as they understand that it is difficult to succeed success, and relish
the times when the waters get a bit choppy, to demonstrate their
ability to navigate around life, that inevitably gets in the way.

So understanding that pressure is a privilege - will help us out, when
things get to be a little bit more than we have bargained for.

And when we meet a little pressure or resistance - It's time to show what we're made of.

Big Week?

You Betcha! Every week is big for us, that's the way we roll!

And in our efforts towards our big week, it's best that we handle the
little things such as cleaning, housework, laundry and all of our other
affairs, so that we can focus on our big week.

I know it doesn't seem that glamorous to do some of these tasks - but
they need to be done, so why not do them before our big week starts -
it will put our minds at ease.

Simply making a plan to start fresh, by doing the little things on our
off time, works great...for our family, it all gets handled on the
weekends - We call it "Operation Cleanup" and everyone chips in.

In doing so, we can all look forward to our big week with the liberty and
freedom to Excel..

When we make a Blame Sandwich...

We have to be prepared to eat it ourselves.

Yes, blame is our effort to put our perceptions of a situation
directly on another, but the real deal is that blame always comes from
us, and always boomerangs back at some point.

You see, blame is part of a problem or challenge and it simply perpetuates it, instead of helping to be part of the solution.

We all make mistakes, we know it, and so do they.

So forget blame and remember solution, for the solution is all that
counts.

It's not always what we get...

It's what we make out of what we got.

Ever know someone that seems to have it all. and does nothing with it,
and continues to look elsewhere?...and it may even be you?

Well, many people do wonders with what they already have, and make what
they have into a Masterpiece.

We're not saying stop searching all together, just maybe take a look at
your present situation ,as if you will never get anything else, to find
what hidden jewels you already have and take them to the "Next Level".

You just may be surprised at what you find.

Tomorrow is going to be...

The Best day of my life!

Today is Wednesday, and we had vegetable soup last night so we can
splurge on tonight's meal which just happens to be "Date Night", plus I
get to see my youngest get 2 awards at school today, which leads up to
feeling pretty good about things.

And tomorrow I get to see a lot of great people at work, just "soaking
in" how lucky I really am. And I will chat with someone who is taking a
little time off...which will be pretty special.

Also we get catered food on Thursday...I don't know what it will be,
but I bet it will be pretty tasty! Yep, tomorrow is going to be the
best day of my life!

Come to think of it, Today may just be the best day of my life -
leading into tomorrow being the next best day in my life...but I do a
lot of my writing on Friday's so that day may be...and I'm thinking
Saturday will be pretty sweet...

If you get a chance, let me know what day is going to be the best day of your life:)

Do you have a closet full...

Of broken dreams?

Well, we all do, so don't even think you are the only one.

Not all dreams come true...we just need to be thankful for the ones
that did. And for the ones that didn't...we can always bring them out,
dust them off and give them another shot, Right?

Having every dream come true is like sitting down at a slot machine,
and with every pull of the lever, you hit the jackpot - and what are
the odds of that?

So keep dreaming and even pull out some old ones that didn't have the
right timing...it's never too late.

Being a Champion...

Often times, makes one stand out.

And why not? Being a Champion usually means that there has been a lot
of study, training and preparation in whatever the Champion has chosen
to excel at.

A Champion can either be born with talent or develop some pretty sweet
skills that makes them "Best in Class"...and many times, they become a
target for those who aspire to become better than them.

That's why some of us stay "small" - so we blend in - without a target
on our back, and have no fear of being beaten - yet no chance of Glory
either.

Let's go Big and become our own Champion - it may feel uncomfortable at
first, standing out for a while, but we'll get over it.

Attempt to enjoy...

Your "guilty" pleasures or vice for a change.

That way, you can really enjoy it, when it's time to stop.

Why?

Because guilt sometimes keeps us in the loop.
