Got a hole in your pocket...

Where all you money falls out of?

Probably not...some of us may be having "money problems" or not enough
of it.

But understanding that money doesn't separate itself from you on it's
own, is the first step in stopping the outflow and creating a solution.

Do you have an albatross...

Hanging around your neck?

Some of us do - it's that thing that we can't shake, get better or get
rid of.

It can be that nagging challenge that we have been not addressing with
current health condition or that bothersome item that has not been
dealt with. It may even be our inability to get out of that rut.

Whatever our albatross is - it needs to go.

So make a plan, focus and that albatross may as well keep the tens on,
because a beat down is coming, and the feathers will fly!

This is the inevitable posting of day 666...

Yikes - The number of the Beast!

Most people stay away from 3 consecutive 6's because of certain
beliefs that have come down with history, I was included, when I joined
a country club where my club number was 666.

Initially, I was suspect on where and when my golf game would implode,
because of my number. But once I decided to have my beliefs trump the
beliefs of history, things got better, much better - had a lot of fun
and won some good dough on that track - even though I was tagged with
666.

I know others that have 3 consecutive 6's that identify them in some
way, in their address and even in their phone numbers - and they are doing pretty good too.

Know this: Your beliefs are stronger than the beliefs of history, myths
or others.

On any Team...

There is an unseen force, which is called "heart".

Just as in the human body, if it's flowing properly, it promotes growth
and life sustaining qualities.

The same goes with the "heart" of the the team, which is made up by the
individuals, beating as one.

Because when all the hearts are beating together and in alignment,
there is a lot of blood flowing in the right direction.

Of all the things we wear...

Our Expression is the most important.

An expression of happiness or one of anger can either be a green light
for great communication, or stop communication dead in it's tracks.

And since communication develops into relationships, we must be mindful
of what our faces are saying to others.

Even experts agree that expression is gaged more than any other other
body characteristics which leads us to be approachable or not.

Whatever is happening inside, we can always show a little game on our
face...because the resulting communication, sometimes is all we may
really need.

Appreciate the little...

Things in Life...they are what makes the Big things possible.

Life and memories are created from experiences and moments, which are
made up by the little things in our lives.

The little things that make up our experiences and moments, are usually
not the things that cost us money, but are the things we get for free...and give for free.

Little things like...little smiles, little thank yous, little people,
little compliments, a little love are what makes up our experiences and
moments and makes our lives worth living.

So maybe give a "little something" and make lives worth living.

When we can't seem to...

Get our heads around things, it may be
because it's our head...is what gets in the way.

We think too much...which only gives us our own perspective, which is purely subjective.

Looking at our challenges from an outside perspective, or another's
viewpoint, always helps us out with clarity...looking from the "outside" and the solution is "Duh"...so simple

So if we are having a challenge, getting our heads around our
challenge...look at it from another's view...from the outside...it's so easy.

Whether we are ready...

Or not - occasionally we get hit and sometimes blind sided by a
situation in our lives that can have the impact of an "Emotional
Tornado".

We cannot always control what comes into our lives, but we can always
be in control of what comes out of our minds.

So if you are unexpectedly hit by a "Storm", just batten down the
hatches and wait it out...for it will lose it's steam in short order.

Your "Sweet Spot"...

Is then transferred to your "Wheelhouse".

Ir's describing anything that is coming toward you, that you can see as
presented to you in slow motion (sweet spot), entering your "space" for
you to do what you do best, in total control (wheelhouse).

In baseball, a batter has their own individual, sweet spot that
activates their wheelhouse, it may be a pitch thrown down the pipe, a
little low and inside, and then all pistons fire, by reflex, and the
balls sails deep over the center field wall.

Just something about a sweet spot that puts the rest into motion, achieving greatness.

BTW - We also have a sweet spot in our thoughts, that get our wheelhouse turning, big time, in the right way.

The Story of the 2 Wolves...

One evening, an Old Cherokee Chief told his grandson about a battle that
goes on inside all people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two
"wolves", within or minds...inside us all.

One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false
pride, superiority and ego.

The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his
grandfather: "Which one Wins?"

The Old Cherokee Chief simply replied, "The one you feed".

There is a saying..

"Those who don't read history, are condemned to repeat it".

But more precisely, cycles in history, life and nature, are what we need to understand.

Most everything is cyclical - if viewed with enough time.

The cycle that spans the human life are birth, growth, receding, death,
and in ancient history they represent it as a unit of time called a
saeculum.

There is a cyclical pattern in organic nature - in the seasons, in
tides, in night and day, maybe early or late, but winter always comes.

War, depressions, inflations also are regular, and may also come
earlier or later, but the cycles roll on, and they lie deep in the
natural life of humanity.

Understanding cycles can allow us to be prepared for what comes next - pretty sweet.

I recently had the extreme honor...

And Pleasure to speak at the National Convention of the Casey Family
Programs - Project Head to Toe...in Hollywood, where our esteemed Galen
presented 2 day earlier.

750 were in attendance - they were mostly foster kids that are aging
out of the program along with alumni and Special Mentors that
unselfishly give their time and efforts, notably Jeff Penix and
Virginia Pryor.

At the closing ceremonies, a group of teenagers from Las Vegas gave
their speeches, all of them were inspiring, but one struck
me...Dequevies Williams, who had a tough life but seemed to use his
past to "Spin it and Win it", and it went:

I stand today knowing that I'm better than a stereotype,
Stronger than a law,
Wiser than a simple book,
And I refuse to be a statistic,
I stand today knowing that I'm a dream come true.

Immediate Gratification?

As our society "progresses", many things within our lives have become
faster, and the results or outcome are realized much more quickly.

From cooking for hours to the microwave is a perfect example, instead of waiting, we get our meal in seconds.

Computers have also cut the time of research to a quick Google search
to find what we are looking for, instead of laboring through
encyclopedias and books.

It's been called the "McDonald's Factor" - getting something now, with
very little waiting involved, and we have been accustomed and "trained"
to expect "Immediate Gratification" - Fantastic!

In the same vain, just remember - We never have to wait one single minute to enjoy the moment.

I thought it would be...

Just an ordinary day.

But then I start thinking about, what great things are going to happen
today?

Every great day has to start somewhere, and you might as well prepare
for it.

Some great days may not be as as great as others, but looking forward
to them will keep our senses heightened to be on the "look out" for all
signs...which we maybe wouldn't see, if we thought otherwise.

I have a sister...

Kathy - 4 years younger, she grew up with much less supervision and
rules then me, I think my parents cried "uncle" after raising me and my
older sister Teri...definitely Teri.

Kathy seemed to figure things out early...she "flows" through life...we
call her Mrs. Magoo - everything comes to her at the right time.

Birds and animals don't plant seeds or tend herds , but they get fed, don't worry, have a great life and things work out.

That's her deal - "flowing" through life. while enjoying living - pretty impressive...

Give them Dignity...

Or give them nothing.

Dignity is the quality or state of being worthy of esteem or respect.

Dignity is also one of the most coveted qualities that people cherish.

We all have a continual quest for self-esteem and that we are worthy.

So when we deal with others, we must remain mindful that their dignity is
just as important as ours, and we must strive to keep other's dignity
in tact.

We matter, and so do others, so let's keep giving ourselves and others,
what they need.

All Role Models...

Are not Adults.

Children - just watch them - they are seeing most everything with eyes
wide open - with no judgment, of themselves or others...and that's the
cool part.

Doing their deal, and not caring what they look like - my youngest has
pajama day at his elementary school, and loves it...hair a mess - in
PJ's and slippers and is proud as can be.

Going from activity to activity with reckless abandon...eating when
they are hungry, sleeping when they are tired, and getting up when they
have had enough sleep.

Pure living - no worries, and they usually don't know or care what day
it is, or what time it is.

Maybe we can all learn from kids - and put back a little "child" into
our daily lives.

Agape?

You betcha - there's more than one kind of Love.

Agape; Unselfish love, brotherly love, mouth wide open, as in wonder,
surprise or eagerness.

Sure does smack of the love found within the Culture at Zappos.

Agape can help with anything you're involved with, and it sure helps to "Make the World a Better Place".

Are you Vague...

Or are you Clear, when it comes to your Vision of your life?

Either way, your future will, most likely, be the same.

"Hazy goals, achieve, at best, Hazy results.

So be careful on what you want your future to be, because the starting
point and the way you envision it, will be the way your future ends up.
