A lot goes into an Attitude...

But a lot more comes out of it.

And it really makes no difference what kind of attitude we have, what
comes out of it is a lot more of the same.

Having a bad attitude ourselves, compounds the effects from all around.

And having a great attitude, is a multiplier which gives us more of
what we have.

So always remember, the attitude we have, good or bad, gives us more of
it.

Should I do this...

Or should I do that?

Decisions, Decisions?

Remember - No decisions, is a decision.

When it comes to the decisions to "strap up" and start moving
forward, the time is now...

Or, we can wait until we are younger, richer, and better looking.

The chain of Command...

Usually brings about a chain of emotion.

Focusing on what an employee does wrong, instead of what they do right,
begets the employee focusing on what others are doing wrong, instead of
what they are doing right.

Empowering an employee for their talents and skills, translates to the
employee empowering others for their talents and skills.

And in each case, the chain of emotion, mirrors the chain of command.

It's only work...

When you would rather be doing something else.

That's also why people say you should find something you would like to
do for "work" and you won't be working anymore.

Some have come to me having trouble with this concept...think of it
this way...if you are happy while working, then it really isn't work,
is it.

And while some work, by itself, may not be the most fun, we can sure
spin it, and make it fun...once we do that, we are happy and we really
aren't working anymore:)

Give me some water!

Our bodies are mostly water and we should really replace about 2.4
liters of water through drinking and the foods we eat, or take your
body weight, cut it in half and that's the amount of ounces daily, of fluid intake recommended.

But many of us follow this daily program:

Breakfast: Coffee (diuretic - which usually gets rid of more fluid than
is consumed), and toast or a bagel.

Lunch: Soda (diuretic) and a sandwich.

Dinner: - Wine or alcohol (diuretic) and meat and potatoes.

Where is the water?? In practice, I found
the less water one drank - the more health challenges they had, with
virtually no exceptions.

Sleep comes and goes...

And with out it, we can get a little short in the fuse.

Knowing that without much sleep, we can get short, cranky and feel like
junk, is the first step.

Understanding what comes after little sleep is the easy part...but a
bad nights sleep doesn't have to turn into a bad day.

Option # 1 - "Spin it and Win it" - Because the next night of
sleep will probably be deep and restful, #2 -You can embrace the
feeling of sand in your bloodshot eyes, as it doesn't happen all that
often, and # 3 - You can feel empowered by thinking you have just run a
marathon.

All in all, life is pretty good, and with much sleep, it's not that
bad.

Are you...

Swimming with the flow?

If so, you are helped along by the current, you can see open water and
all the wonderful possibilities that your "journey" has to offer. Of
course there are sharks at your feet, just don't stop or look back at them.

But when swimming against the flow, we can't see the horizon, and all we
see is "white caps" and turbulence, and the sharks are swimming towards us.

Our energies...

Go where are thoughts are, and have been.

So, just look around at your life and you can see where your thoughts
have been, because those are the areas that have been receiving your
energies and thusly, your attention.

If you see good things around you and in your life, keep up
the great thoughts, it's what has been the starting point of what you
see.

And conversely, if you see chaos and a mess when you look around at
your life, and the things in it, it started with your thoughts as well.

So Simple...whatever you see, started from your thoughts, and whatever you don't
see, has faded away for the same reason.

Met Erica OGrady yesterday, a wonderful person, we had lunch with the
marketing team here at Zappos and even did a radio piece for her radio
show.

Her deal is "Bliss".

We talked about how there is Happiness and Bliss all around us, yet
many of us seem to be focusing on everything else but Happiness and
Bliss.

Flying on a plane, and your internet service is interrupted...instead
of being thankful and grateful for the speedy and comfortable flight
getting you to where you want to go, fast, we get upset at the
interrupted service.

And we spoke of other scenarios with the same theme.

The bottom line is, that we all need to be more thankful and grateful
for all the wonderful things in our lives, and not focus and lament on
the "stuff".

I thought I had...

A great future...but I still have the same routine?

That's the sticking point to making your future better than today.

"Do what you've always done and you'll get what you've always gotten".

By understanding the above phrase, we also must understand that we
sometimes need to change our routines, otherwise our future and our
results will be the same.

The first time...

We quit, is the hardest...and then it gets easier over time.

Good to know, if you have a pattern of quitting or are considering
quitting something that you shouldn't be quitting.

You can either resist quitting, or change the pattern that gets easier...as your life gets harder.

It's really our choice.

Got a hole in your pocket...

Where all you money falls out of?

Probably not...some of us may be having "money problems" or not enough
of it.

But understanding that money doesn't separate itself from you on it's
own, is the first step in stopping the outflow and creating a solution.

There are Opportunities....

And there are Opportunities of a lifetime.

When the Opportunities of a lifetime come along, do we recognize it, and if we do, do we seize the opportunity or seize up?

That's the question we should all ask ourselves.

Opportunities of a lifetime are just that, an Opportunity that comes
along once, and once only, in our lifetime - and we can jump on it and
make it ours, or just sit and watch it go by...the good thing, is that
it is our choice, which can also be the bad.

The long journey towards...

The middle...that's where most of us end up.

Not the best, and not the worst - Average - which is the best of the
worst, and the worst of the best.

The middle, the normal - like everyone else.

The ones who end up in the middle follow the rest of the pack, the herd
mentality - Safe - no glory, but no defeat either - and taking the path
of least resistance will always get us there.

Now that we know who gets to the middle, why, and how to get there, we
can choose if it's the place for us.

If it is - that's OK - some like to play it safe and like to be
average...but for those of us that don't, we now know what to do...to
be different.
