Simplicity counts, but...

That doesn't mean details don't.

We all seem to be in the search for more time.

And for those of us that aim to streamline and simplify our lives, we
need to be mindful that the details don't get thrown out along the way.

Details are what makes the process, and in our process to put a little
simplification into our lives, we need to pay attention to what makes
up the process.

We can compartmentalize our tasks, but keeps our tasks in the process.
We can streamline our efforts, but our efforts still need to be
included. We can simplify our lives, but keep our lives as the focus.

All in all - it's all in the details.

How do we get...

Our life to become the way we want it to be?

We can take all kinds of routes.

Some like to take it to the "Next Level" on a slow but sure basis. They
don't really try for home runs, as base hits win ball games, but once
in a while things "go yard" by themselves which is a nice treat.

Some like to keep changing things and redirecting their efforts to get
the results they want, which is also a great way to go.

Whatever route is chosen, the common denominator in having your life
becoming the way you want is YOU. Paying attention to where you're
going or where you are, in relation to where you want to go or where
you want to be, is all instructed by You.

I recently had the extreme honor...

And Pleasure to speak at the National Convention of the Casey Family
Programs - Project Head to Toe...in Hollywood, where our esteemed Galen
presented 2 day earlier.

750 were in attendance - they were mostly foster kids that are aging
out of the program along with alumni and Special Mentors that
unselfishly give their time and efforts, notably Jeff Penix and
Virginia Pryor.

At the closing ceremonies, a group of teenagers from Las Vegas gave
their speeches, all of them were inspiring, but one struck
me...Dequevies Williams, who had a tough life but seemed to use his
past to "Spin it and Win it", and it went:

I stand today knowing that I'm better than a stereotype,
Stronger than a law,
Wiser than a simple book,
And I refuse to be a statistic,
I stand today knowing that I'm a dream come true.
