Overwhelmed?

Well, the feeling usually comes when we are not in balance.

Doing too much of one thing, or many things, and not doing enough for
ourselves to get our batteries charged - and to get "whole" is usually
the culprit.

Focusing is a great thing, in the short term, but focusing on something
too long, can make our view...get a bit fuzzy.

We just need to "air it out" and take some breaks along our journey to
properly balance out...making us much more likely to complete the
journey we've started.

Maybe our mantra should be: "I am so balanced, I should be walking on a high wire".

And in doing so - we are reminded to balance along the way.

Are you...

Swimming with the flow?

If so, you are helped along by the current, you can see open water and
all the wonderful possibilities that your "journey" has to offer. Of
course there are sharks at your feet, just don't stop or look back at them.

But when swimming against the flow, we can't see the horizon, and all we
see is "white caps" and turbulence, and the sharks are swimming towards us.

IQ doesn't Matter...

But the "I Can" does.

No matter how smart we are, it doesn't replace or substitute for the "I
Can" attitude.

With "I can", we can be lacking in the "smarts" department, and achieve
what we set out to achieve, as we may not know better, and can't see the
obstacles.

As a matter of fact, I have spoken to many that have said that if they
knew all the obstacles before they made great achievements - they
wouldn't of even started.

Many times - with a lot of smarts we can "talk" ourselves out of
achievement, by being able to process too much information and "seeing"
too many roadblocks, that stops the journey dead in it's tracks.

So, it's not how much "smart" we have,

It's how much "heart" we have.

Every Journey...

Has to start somewhere.

Whether the journey it is a camping trip, expedition, or our life.

Planning our journey, for whatever we have chosen, starts with us, and
has no bearing of where we were before, in the past, with the exception
of experience and what we have already learned which can help to guide
us safely to where we want to go.

So we must not let our past dictate the journeys we choose, but just be
an aid, and let our experiences help us for our future ones.

The long journey towards...

The middle...that's where most of us end up.

Not the best, and not the worst - Average - which is the best of the
worst, and the worst of the best.

The middle, the normal - like everyone else.

The ones who end up in the middle follow the rest of the pack, the herd
mentality - Safe - no glory, but no defeat either - and taking the path
of least resistance will always get us there.

Now that we know who gets to the middle, why, and how to get there, we
can choose if it's the place for us.

If it is - that's OK - some like to play it safe and like to be
average...but for those of us that don't, we now know what to do...to
be different.

Finally...

It's the end of what has been a long week...of a long journey.

And we've all have taken our lumps along the way, as well as some
expended emotions.

With the election over, we are embarking on a new journey and our new focus is that of Unity.

So maybe we can spend our weekend in reflection and rest, allowing us
to come back next week Unified, not only as a country, but in our
working and personal lives as well.

We can't do much alone, but we can all do our part to move powerfully
into our future...with all of us Unified...and all of us helping to
make this world a better place.

Take the Time?

Whatever we've planned, mapped out or look forward to, we need to
remember to take the time, to take it all in.

The journey is usually 95% of the trip, so why spend and the enjoying
for the end?

Whether we have a family, or a business that we are tending to, as it
grows, it will soon be over and we must not "jip" ourselves along the
way.

Hardships, struggles and sacrifice are all trading in our time, for
something better, so we need to be reminded that hardships, struggles,
and sacrifice are better than our alternatives and should be viewed as
such.

Love every step, cherish the ones who have been there along the way,
and embrace the ones that have helped... just as you enjoy your
favorite meal - taste every bite - it will soon be over.

If half the fun is getting there...

Why not have fun getting there?

We don't have to save the fun for the place or event we are going to,
we can begin right at the start of our journey.

Slug Bug is a great game for a road trip, singing as a group can raise the spirits, and holding your breath going
through a tunnel is also pretty cool.

Even having fun every day as you get closer to your vacation or
holiday. Any time is a great time to have fun, let's not just keep it
for certain times.

What's the "Pebble in your Shoe"?

In our life's journey, it's not all roses...there are
some twists and turns, ups and downs and even an occasional bloody lip.

And on the way, we sometimes pick up unwanted stuff
whether we allowed it or it just hopped on board uninvited.

We have enough to deal with in life, and don't need a
"pebble in our shoe" that irritates or distracts us along the way
causing us to lose focus on what's really
important.

So please take the time to slow down a bit - find the
"pebble" and kindly remove it - you'll probably have no problem
finding what it is.
