Day 708

If we are all free to choose...

Why do some of us make poor choices that consistently puts us behind
the eight ball?

Well, the fact is, our choices are put into action by our
thoughts, and that is the root cause.

If our thoughts are based on past baggage, poor self talk or a low self
esteem, we tend to make our choices that are also based in the "not
worthy: or "can's do" category.

When this is the case, we need to "Spin and Win" our thoughts into "I
am worthy" and "I can do" attitude, and then we will be able to take
our lives to the "Next Level".

How do we get...

Our life to become the way we want it to be?

We can take all kinds of routes.

Some like to take it to the "Next Level" on a slow but sure basis. They
don't really try for home runs, as base hits win ball games, but once
in a while things "go yard" by themselves which is a nice treat.

Some like to keep changing things and redirecting their efforts to get
the results they want, which is also a great way to go.

Whatever route is chosen, the common denominator in having your life
becoming the way you want is YOU. Paying attention to where you're
going or where you are, in relation to where you want to go or where
you want to be, is all instructed by You.

Some people have a hard time...

Helping themselves, and that's usually because they have some combination
of past baggage, poor self talk or poor self esteem, all of which help
form our thoughts

And that's OK. Those are the 3 things we all need to deal with on a
consistent basis in our quest for getting...and keeping "Our Minds
Right".

If you have a hard time helping yourself out, for whatever reason, just
take the position of helping out others - Because in helping others, we
can feel better about ourselves, which is paramount in helping
ourselves out.

So take others to the "Next Level"

You couldn't be more help if you were a crutch.

A shock is sometimes good for us?

You betcha...and the only reason it is a shock, is because we weren't
ready for it.

When we are shocked by a situation, event or even a cold shower, it's
just because we are taken by surprise and have a hard time getting our
heads, or our body around what just happened.

And getting shocked simply elevates our internal structures and
functions to rise to the occasion.

It's the "fight or flight" reaction of our body - where our autonomic
nervous system shifts to meet the demand - the sympathetic nervous
system takes over and the parasympathetic nervous system cools down -
all to better help us deal with what we didn't see coming.

So our body rises to the occasion, and so can we, and sometimes a
little shock is what we all need to get us out of "idle".

Maybe Burger King has it right?

"Have it your way" is a pretty good credo.

And why not "Have it our way"?

Take your life to the "Next Level" - good - "Have it your way".

Just declare the way you want it and take the steps to get it.

Want a better body?... perfect, just make a plan and follow it.

Better relationships?...excellent, do what it takes and you got it.

For anything in your life, just speak up - stay the course...

and you can "Have it your way".

It's been 500 days since we started the daily Life Improvement writings.

And we can use the number 500 as either inspiration on how many
days have passed since we have started our Life Improvement, by taking our
lives to the "Next Level", or how many days we have let slip by, and
have done nothing.

Either way, Congratulations to both!

Congratulations for those of you that have been focusing your thoughts
and perceptions towards the positive side of the dial - you, most
likely, have found that when you have changed your thoughts - your
world changes...for the better.

And Congratulations for those of you that have not yet started, for
there is a world of opportunity awaiting you - when you're ready.

I will continue writing, so stay on board, or hop on board because there is no shortage of positive
or empowering things to write about, think about or act upon.

Our Record

I have some questions about the "Record" that plays inside our heads.

To clarify...it's our internal self-talk, and is our perception of how
we think about ourselves and our abilities and situation...and it is
virtually the same today as it was yesterday and the day before and the
month before...

It's usually not as good as
it should be and we attempt to take it to the "Next Level" by wearing the "Winner"
stickers the day of the workshop, taking the picture in the throne -
confirming that you ARE Royalty, putting your goals on the Billion
dollar bill which signifies that you are worth at LEAST a Billion
dollars, throwing out positive blogs and other empowering stuff.

Why...because the "record" plays a big part in how we live now and in our futurre...and by
changing OUR "record" for the better, our lives do better as well.

It's not always what we get...

It's what we make out of what we got.

Ever know someone that seems to have it all. and does nothing with it,
and continues to look elsewhere?...and it may even be you?

Well, many people do wonders with what they already have, and make what
they have into a Masterpiece.

We're not saying stop searching all together, just maybe take a look at
your present situation ,as if you will never get anything else, to find
what hidden jewels you already have and take them to the "Next Level".

You just may be surprised at what you find.

Constant Growth?

Not really - Growth comes in cycles.

In humans, it takes years to grow and it comes in cycles known as
growth spurts, and the in between times, the body is adapting to what
has been achieved.

In nature, things grow in seasons and not non-stop.

In life, we can't always be growing and taking it to the "Next Level",
we need to have time to re-group.

Even in business, growth is balanced by times of consolidation -
catching up to what has been built upon the foundation, allowing for
future growth.

So don't get discouraged if things are not constantly growing, it just
doesn't happen that way.

The Greatest Joy of Living...

Is the Joy that comes from Giving.

Sounds "corny" but it is true.

Thinking back, we may first think that our greatest Joy has been when
we have really excelled and taken things to the "Next Level" but when
we really dig deep, it was the times when we saw another's face when we
gave what we got.

So if we ever need a little boost of Joy - don't think of yourself -
give to others - it will never let us down.

Sometimes, we don't need to...

Give ourselves a "back door".

As Cerebral thinkers, we usually include a trap door or
escape hatch to allow us a way out if our plans don't work...it's just a part
of our inherent quest for self survival.

But when our plans are for taking our lives to the
"Next Level" we may want to nail the "back door" shut,
allowing only success to be the final outcome.

Taking it to the "Next Level?"

Why not, everything else is going there.

Would you like to work on a 1980's computer? Or drive a 1930's car? How
about using the old telephone you had to crank?

Even from birth we have been taking it to the "Next Level" with our
experiences, knowledge and skills we acquire.

Change is good and the "Next Level" is even better.
