Day 777

Oh boy...today's blog number is 777, looks like this is our lucky day!

We always invite luck into our lives, but there is a way to be even more lucky.

When we see people that always seem to be lucky, there is usually some other things that have happened behind the scenes.

"Luck is where preparation meets opportunity" - so the more prepared we
are, when the opportunity arrives, bingo, we click game...and from the
outside, we look lucky.

So keep preparing, and smile inside when someone says "You have all the luck", it's the sweetest compliment we can all get

Hopefully, only occasionally...

We look in the mirror, or at or lives and we are sufficiently horrified.

It's OK...it happens...it's only the results of what we have let slip.

And it's really great inspiration and motivation to take what we have
let slip, turn it into an opportunity, and bring it back...even higher
than before.

Fired Up?

You bet!

I've been talking to a lot of people lately and their vocabulary has
been changing.

From last years defensive talk of putting their helmets on and
attempting to fend off the blows that the recession have been dolling
out, to "enough is enough" and switching their mindsets, to that of
going on the offensive - and making plans to charge ahead.

History has shown us that the times of greatest resistance has brought
about the greatest opportunity, and the resilience of humanity has
always fought back after the initial shock has sunk in, which has
always turned things around...for the better.

I wonder if the recession had a conscious, it would have known that it
"Poked the Bear" one too many times?

The story of the 2 shoe sales people.

There were 2 shoe sales people that were sent off to a village in a
country where they have never been before, to see if they could do some
new business.

A shipment of a wide variety of shoes was to be delivered within days
of their arrival for display and eventual sales, and to see which would
be the biggest seller...and to then deliver more of what they wanted.

When they both got there, the 1st shoe sales person called the
company and urged them to stop the shipment, because no one in the
village wore shoes.

The 2nd shoe sales person called the company and said "Send all we
have, it is the greatest opportunity I have ever seen - because no one
wears shoes".

Opportunity or Excuse - depends on our perception.

Things don't happen to us...

They happen for us.

When things happen to us, we become the victim, and when things happen
for us, we are in charge and it is up to us, what we do with it, or what we do about it.

It's all about perception.

Whatever comes our way, comes our way, and it is up to us to view it
positively or negatively and our actions will follow our perception.

So whatever we face - we need to perceive it as an opportunity...an
opportunity to make us stronger, smarter, or more empowered and better able to deal
with the same things when it come around again.

Otherwise, things can break us down and take it's toll...when all we had
to do is change our perception.

Tough times never last...

But tough people do.

Looking back on our tough times from the past, we can see that the
tough times made us stronger and in most cases, the really tough
situations, have allowed us to change course and ultimately, were
really blessings in disguise.

If everything were easy, there would be no resistance and with out
resistance, we would get lazy, as our effort would not be needed, and
our "game" would become weak.

Therefore we must stay strong, and view any situation which comes our
way, as an opportunity for us to open up new doors of the future, and
let the past be the past.

So in our future, it's not the tough times we focus upon, it's the
opportunities that will come to be, that needs to be within our vision.

Just keep the Needle...

Of Hope and Opportunity pointed in the direction you want to go.

We will always have detours along the way in our life's journey, some
of them getting us off course, or maybe putting us in "pause" for a bit.

No matter what we face or happens in our lives, the Needle can always
be pointed in the right direction, help getting us back on course,
once the interruption is in the past.
