No one can really dictate...

The rain.

But we sure can be, the best umbrella.

With everything in our lives, we can only be in charge of ourselves...and
dictate what "we" do, and not other people or things.

In knowing this, we can be prepared to meet all kinds of
challenges, people and situations with grace.

So when we are faced with things that are not in our control, which is
everything...except ourselves...just like when it rains, we can respond
accordingly...and not get wet.

You can take a Successful Person...

In any business, put them in charge of a different business and
they will most likely become a success there too.

AND, you can take someone that has run a business into the ground, put
them in charge of a different business and they will probably run that
one into the ground.

That is because people seem to make the same choices in similar
situations which elicit the same outcome. We've all heard the "A tiger
never changes it's stripes"...well, the same goes with people...yet
people CAN change...but seldom do.

Whenever we get into a "Pickle"...

It's usually our ego that's to blame.

In most situations where we have difficulties with others, it is
our ego, which promotes subjectivity to come into play.

When we are "outside" of another's challenges, looking in, we can
usually see the situation without the ego, objectively, as we are not
part of the challenge. And by seeing it this way...a solution is clear.

So when we get ourselves in a "pickle" with the help of our ego, we
may just want to step back objectively and come up with an objective
solution.

Sometimes our "best friend"...

Can be our best friend.

In living life, we can get consumed or even have our blinders on, in
certain situations or with the direction were are attempting to
go...simply because we are part of our deal, which makes our decisions
subjective.

A best friend is a good resource to help us along the way, not only
because they know you, and have your back, but because they are also
"outside" your life and can be objective about your deal.

We may not feel that we need advice is certain situations or in
direction, but a best friend can give you suggestions.
