Day 736

We would all like to get...

Healthier overnight, but it doesn't work that way

By making healthier choices in our daily routine with regards to food
and water intake, along with choices that will get our body moving a
bit more than before, is really all that is needed to become healthier
over time.

You see, our body is continually being built by replacing cells in all
parts of our body, as a matter of fact, virtually every cell is
replaced within a year and most, even sooner. You are basically in a
body that doesn't have the same cells it had a last year.

So by making healthier choices today, you will be building and
replacing your body with healthier cells in the future.

Usually, nothing comes today...

But today.

And that's the very reason we need to keep at it - for the things we
want.

We like to call it - "Focus - Time - Repetition".

"Focus" on what we want, give it "Time", and with "Repetition" - we can
achieve anything.

Want a better body? Great - "Focus" on what will make it better, give it
'Time" and then "Repeat".

The same is true for anything in our lives, business or personal.

When it's time...

To get things done...there's no one that can do it better than you!

That's right, that's how you roll.

And instead of thinking about the 5 things you need to get done, you
focus on the top priority, and bingo - it gets done.

The other things will be handled when their priority bubbles to the
top, because to get a "clean cut" you like to mow things down, one at a
time.

That's like You..."No Filla, only Killa"!

Whistle while you work?

The saying has been around for quite some time and it really does have
meaning.

It basically means putting in a little fun and happiness in your work.

Occasionally, work may demand all of our attention, but the majority of
the time, we can put a little fun and happiness into it, while thinking about
other things, and still handle, what we need to
handle - safely.

This is because attention is a cognitive process which allows us to do
more than one thing while keeping our "environment receptors"...in the
ready...just like when we are talking on the cell phone driving through traffic.

So next time you forget to put a little fun and happiness into your work, put some in
quickly, you should be safe, creative and the time will fly by.

We are not wired to...

To remember pain...But we are wired to remember happiness.

Here's the deal...When we think back to a time when we had
pain, we cannot recreate the feeling, only remember the event.

Whereas when we think back to a times of happiness, we not only
remember the event, but we can recreate the feelings as well.

And when you really think about it, it is a brilliant system - block
out past pain and have happiness and the feelings to continue, even
after the event.

Some pain is inevitable, but being mindful of filling our lives with
happiness is the right thing to do..as it's the gift that keeps on
giving.

The first time...

We quit, is the hardest...and then it gets easier over time.

Good to know, if you have a pattern of quitting or are considering
quitting something that you shouldn't be quitting.

You can either resist quitting, or change the pattern that gets easier...as your life gets harder.

It's really our choice.

It may take a long time...

To set it up, but, if it's worth it, the end justifies the means.

Virtually nothing great is achieved or created overnight, for creating
and achieving is a process.

Therefore, time is needed for the process to unfold.

And in my experience, the set up, is the key for things to move forward...smoothly.

So take your time in the set up, even if it seems as though nothing is
getting done, it will, soon enough - and it will be worth it.

There is a saying..

"Those who don't read history, are condemned to repeat it".

But more precisely, cycles in history, life and nature, are what we need to understand.

Most everything is cyclical - if viewed with enough time.

The cycle that spans the human life are birth, growth, receding, death,
and in ancient history they represent it as a unit of time called a
saeculum.

There is a cyclical pattern in organic nature - in the seasons, in
tides, in night and day, maybe early or late, but winter always comes.

War, depressions, inflations also are regular, and may also come
earlier or later, but the cycles roll on, and they lie deep in the
natural life of humanity.

Understanding cycles can allow us to be prepared for what comes next - pretty sweet.

What's Clouding your...

Decision?

From time to time, we fail to "pull the trigger" when it becomes to important things with in our lives.

Do we make the move? Is now the right time? Will it it backfire on me, instead of making progress which is intended?

Remember, "No decision is a decision". So we can always stay put...for
a while, or reassess things, to assure a better chance of a positive
outcome - but if we want to get going, we can't do nothing...for long.

The Holidays are...

Made for sharing.

Sharing cheer, gifts and love.

And we can also make it a point to reach out to those that we haven't
been sharing much with.

If you have not been talking to someone, for whatever reason, and
something happened to them and you would feel bad, maybe now is the
time to reach out.

We can all rejoice and let the past be the past, and end the year on a
sharing note...and ready ourselves for a new year, with new and or
re-gained relationships...which may be the best present we can all
share.

Life is a Marathon...

And not a Sprint.

That's why we can't sprint for too long in life, otherwise we have
to pull up and rest, while we watch the ones that take their time - pass
us up.

We are not saying we shouldn't pick up the pace from time to time, we
just need to pick the right time to pick it up, and the right time to
slow it down.

When we know how to do that...no hill or mountain is too big or too
tall.

Remember, life isn't going anywhere, we are...and slow and steady will
always get us there...wherever we are going.

If we don't feed something...

It will wither away.

That's the case with our thoughts and habits that we don't want.

Changing our thoughts and habits from what we don't want, and replacing
them with what we do want, will be feeding what we want, and starving
what we don't want.

And over time, what we don't want, will soon cease to be.

Some people have a hard time...

Helping themselves, and that's usually because they have some combination
of past baggage, poor self talk or poor self esteem, all of which help
form our thoughts

And that's OK. Those are the 3 things we all need to deal with on a
consistent basis in our quest for getting...and keeping "Our Minds
Right".

If you have a hard time helping yourself out, for whatever reason, just
take the position of helping out others - Because in helping others, we
can feel better about ourselves, which is paramount in helping
ourselves out.

So take others to the "Next Level"

You couldn't be more help if you were a crutch.

Ever start back exercising...

Only to find out that you started out doing too much, too soon?

We sometimes get ahead of ourselves, and the aches and pains of the
exercise serve as a demotivator to keep up our plan.

Usually time has passed since we were on an exercise program and we
tend to start were we left off...but as the saying goes, "we ain't what
we used to be" really speaks volumes when it comes to
our bodies.

You see, if we don't use it, we lose it, and with exercise we need to
start slowly, and over time we can gain it back.

Otherwise, we make every excuse in the world, not to go back to
exercising...when we start doing too much, too soon.

Take the Time?

Whatever we've planned, mapped out or look forward to, we need to
remember to take the time, to take it all in.

The journey is usually 95% of the trip, so why spend and the enjoying
for the end?

Whether we have a family, or a business that we are tending to, as it
grows, it will soon be over and we must not "jip" ourselves along the
way.

Hardships, struggles and sacrifice are all trading in our time, for
something better, so we need to be reminded that hardships, struggles,
and sacrifice are better than our alternatives and should be viewed as
such.

Love every step, cherish the ones who have been there along the way,
and embrace the ones that have helped... just as you enjoy your
favorite meal - taste every bite - it will soon be over.
