Taking it to the "Next Level?"

Why not, everything else is going there.

Would you like to work on a 1980's computer? Or drive a 1930's car? How
about using the old telephone you had to crank?

Even from birth we have been taking it to the "Next Level" with our
experiences, knowledge and skills we acquire.

Change is good and the "Next Level" is even better.

Just keep the Needle...

Of Hope and Opportunity pointed in the direction you want to go.

We will always have detours along the way in our life's journey, some
of them getting us off course, or maybe putting us in "pause" for a bit.

No matter what we face or happens in our lives, the Needle can always
be pointed in the right direction, help getting us back on course,
once the interruption is in the past.

A lot of Inspiration and Motivation...

Comes from Recognition.

Why not?

I don't think anybody wants to do anything for a long period of time
without recognition.

That's the very reason many golfers don't play alone...for if they hit
a great shot, there was no one there to see it.

So recognize others for their efforts and contributions...and it will
give them the fuel to keep going strong.

Nothing Should be...

Handed to you, and rarely is, you have to earn it.

Wishing, Wanting and Dreaming without action or effort is fruitless.

I have another saying on the back of the Billion Dollar Bills that we use in Goal Setting which
reads "The person on the top of the mountain didn't fall there".

So if you want something - remember you have to earn it by actions and
effort.

The Majority of Americans...

Work for a company.

And the majority of the employees also somehow think things should run smoothly or be perfect, all of the time.

But in Reality, society and companies run like anything else in this
world...just like our lives, there are ups and downs, twists and turns
and occasional challenges.

So at our workplace, as in our lives, we must not be preoccupied with
the changes, challenges, or what needs to be fixed, for those things
will be handled when resources and focus allow.

We simply need to stay focused on what we can do to make things better.

All or Nothing?

That attitude in goal setting, many times, can disrupt our attempt of
creating our desired results.

The truth is, life sometimes gets in the way and it must not derail our
Freight Train to Success City.

So in goal setting, don't be too attached to "All or Nothing" and maybe
think of it as "Just Better than Before".

As we know...

Our Thoughts have a great deal of influence on how we feel about things
and it is our Choice to Choose our Thoughts.

Where we see ourselves and how we see our life is basically up to
us...we can think poorly about our situation or feel excited about our
future - all our Choice.

I don't know about you, but "I'm living in a Hot Tub in Fun Town".

Gets me pretty pumped! I can Choose to Think otherwise - but Choose not
to.

Where are you Living?

Pitching In...

Remember when you were young and needed a little assistance and someone
helped you out and pitched in?

It was a pretty good feeling not only for you but for the other person
as well.

We can still do the same thing when we are grown up.

Just a little assistance, guidance or pitching in will still do
wonders for all parties involved while also helping to form new bonds
and relationships.

So pitch in when you are needed and you will create a win - win
situation.

Reactive or Proactive?

Which one are you?

Being reactive dictates that you are "reacting" to all that goes on in
your life and thus puts you in the position of being second in command.

Whereas being proactive puts you in charge of your life, and since
being proactive is making the 1st move, other things need to "react" to
you, and your decisions...putting you in the driver's seat.

Knowing the difference is can be powerful in gaining control over your
life.

On a recent plane trip...

I noticed that the Rocky Mountain Range looked really tiny.

It's kind of weird, but when we have a view of the total scene from high above, what we
perceive as really big in every day life, looks small.

Maybe we should remember that when we have challenges within our
lives...

Looking from high above and seeing the whole picture of what we
have and the opportunities that are available, just may shrink our
challenges into the proper perspective.

My 8 year old boy Sam...

Loves to ride and attempt tricks on his skateboard.

He came in recently and said he just got "Big Air Opportunity".

Having no idea of what he what talking about...he explained that "When
you skateboard and you feel everything is right as you are going into
your trick, you have the opportunity to get "Big Air" and it doesn't
come around that often and you shouldn't waste it".

Lean on it...

It will make you feel good.

We are talking about our daily routine of getting our "things" done.

We usually plan our time to get done just what we need to get done for
that day, and rarely handle things of tomorrow.

Maybe just once in a while, after some nice rest, we can "lean on it"
just a bit and handle some "things" of tomorrow...today.

Saving Money and Eating Healthy?

You bet...eating healthy doesn't have to be expensive as fruits and
vegetables usually cost less than the foods that aren't the best for you.

We do "free meals" at least twice a week in our house by taking our
left overs and then "lighten them up" for our next meal.

Just cut up a whole bunch of vegetables like carrots, onions,
zucchini, celery, cabbage, tomatoes or whatever you like and turn your leftovers
into a stir fry, soup, casserole or mix with rice, potatoes or couscous.

Then add some spices or flavorings to your taste and you have yourself
a delicious and healthy "free meal".

Changing Eating Habits?

There have been many people changing their eating habits and a common
challenge is that they seem to be very focused on MORE of what they
should eat and not on eating LESS.

Eating more often can help keep your digestion running smoothly by
increasing your metabolism and not being overloaded at any given time
which slows things down.

Many have been eating more often to achieve the increased metabolism,
but do not substantially cut down on the amount.

We can think of it this way...if you want a fire to burn hot and clean,
you add a little bit of wood at a time, when the fire slows down, and
not dumping on piles of wood on a consistent basis, as that would only
smother and choke the fire...slowing the burn down to a smoky mess.

Stretch it Out...

Why not? It's great for the body because it gets everything moving and
all the channels opened up to bring good stuff in and bad stuff out!

Your body runs around the clock and there is build up of normal
metabolic processes that need to get moved out and the lymph system is
the one responsible to keep it flowing along with muscle movement.

That's the reason most of us do a daily stretch upon arising in the
morning...to get things moving.

And if that's not enough, have you seen the people that stretch and do
yoga a lot? They have bodies like a cat!
