Hardware stores are not the most exciting of stores – unless you really love browsing amongst nails, bug sprays and copies of keys. But hardware on handbags and shoes is much more exciting and way cute. This Betsey Johnson bag is a perfect example, and its silver color pairs with almost anything.

NEVER TOO YOUNG FOR FASHION

Tweens these days have it so easy. There was no Teen Vogue or CosmoGirl! when I was growing up. And, truth be told, when looking back on photos, I totally needed some fashion help.

The times, they have changed. Teens, tweens and everyone in between are introduced to luxury and couture as early as their first layette. Um, Mom, why didn’t I know about this? Brands like Juicy Couture, Just Cavalli and Armani bring the ‘Mommy and me’ to a whole new luxury matching level. And according to The Campus Word.com, that is just fine with the kids these days, as they are all about high-end brands. Why are today’s kids so fashion forward? Is it partly the fashionable TV shows out there – The Hills, Gossip Girl? Or is it the influx of shows about spoiled rich kids – My Super Sweet Sixteen, Top This Party, Daddy’s Spoiled Little Girl – where budgets seem unlimited?

Maybe it’s even simpler than that. Luxury and couture sets you apart from the rest, and isn’t that what fashion is all about?

It is crystal clear – crystals adorning dresses, purses and tops are hot! The crystal-studded bust on this Moschino dress gets attention, and a crystallized clutch is elegant for evening. Wear one thing that’s crystal-fabulous and keep accessories simple to really sparkle.
