Hate them... the only time I would wear these is if I was attending a costume party as Nefertiti or Cleopatra. Although even back then, I wonder if either of them would have chosen to wear these... I am going with no...they had better taste... even if they had chosen their bare feet... :o)
It depends. Out of the four posted above, I'm only particularly fond of the silver Tapeet's. Oh, and I liked Steph S.'s high-heeled MIA gladiators.

You stand on them on the ground...duh! What do I win?
Seriously, though, only hookers working the Caesar's Palace lobby should wear those.
Hate them with a passion! The only one who should be wearing those is Russell Crowe in Gladiator. If they do a second one he can wear them.....wait a second...he died in the first one.....in that case NO ONE should wear them...EVER!
Really? Only hookers should wear those? But they don't seem to scream "hooker"...
speaking of...my friend let me know about these, and I've received lots of compliments since. They're gladiator heels, but still:

I love them... on appropriately themed TV shoes (ie HBO's Rome)... otherwise you're just being a freak yo!
"Like my shoes, wanna see my sword?"

I didn't mean just any hooker. I specifically meant Roman Empire-themed hookers.
Okay Steph, sorry but your "gladiator heels" look nothing like gladiator inspired heels... sorry.... so of course you get complements, they are cute! I have to say, I had to wear a pair of these sandals in a show and I did not like them one bit. I felt very masculine in them. This is not a trend I like nor will ever adopt. I think the only people that can pull off this look are cracked out models... ha ha oh and of course the Roman Empire Hookers! ha ha
I'm on the fence. Gladiators was a prominent look for the fall and this spring. The D&G men's spring line incorporated them with tapered cargo pants, cropped pants and cargo shorts and it didn't half bad. But it would probably be safer for men to wear a huarache sandal than a gladiator.
Gladiators are truly a love or hate relationship with most women though. If you have the right look, I don't see why not? It's a fashion sandal, not really meant to be a staple classic you'll keep for a decade.
I would wear them only to a toga party, only if it was a lesbian toga party and my life depended on it.
I am not fond of them. I'm sure they look better on a foot, but I think there are so many better options.

ok..ok...I know your taste changes as you get older... but how old will i have to be to appreciate gladiator shoes? Unless your sporting empire dresses I just cant see where or when these shoes will make sense to me.

I call them "JESUS SANDALS"
