WHY SPLURGE? 1. Because they are Alexander McQueen shoes, duh. 2. The uber high heels, which makes the legs look uber long. 3. The spot on trend color, fuschia.

STYLE WITH THREE: O'Neill Gemma Dress, Isabella Fiore Baby Love Christina Messenger, Marc by Marc Jacobs Abstract Gem Jewels Bangles.

SATC MOVIE COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU SOON

Ah, just seeing the initials SATC (Sex and the City), makes me yearn for a fruity martini and pine for the asphalt jungle that was the backdrop for the former HBO show and the upcoming movie. I admit, as much as I have tried, I have not been able to resist all of the pictures and trailers circulating on the internet that quietly beckon my attention. How can one not be anxious and thrilled that on May 30th, the girls — Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis — will be back in fabulous fashionable force? Who doesn’t want to know what hijinks Samantha is up to or if Smith J. is back? Does Brady have a sibling yet? Is little Elizabeth Taylor et all still part of the story line? Will Big finally marry Carrie and what will the other starring characters — the wardrobe — be like? Considering the cult following the show had, and by all the blog accounts, the movie will be an instant hit. We will have to wait to see, but in the meantime, cosmopolitan anyone?

They started out designing red carpet-ready gowns when they formed their label in 1988, but once their bridal business launched in 1993, their brand took off. With their light fabrics and ethereal appearances, Badgley Mischka quickly became synonymous with the perfect wedding gown.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka initially met while both were attending Parsons School of Design shortly before graduation in 1985. Together they developed their signature beading style and which helped make them the famous and often in demand designers that they are today. For fall 2008, “We were looking at old Man Ray photos of Nancy Cunard,” Mark Badgley and James Mischka told Style.com, about the starting point for their pre-fall line. For their fall shoe collection, old world Hollywood seemed to have been their inspiration – gold flats with crystal broach decoration, glitzy silver heels, black, open-toed sky-high heels with crystal embellishment and sandals with rhinestones and beading are just a few of their styles we sell here on our very own Couture.Zappos.com.

Khakis were hunted down this season for a makeover, and designers captured the safari essence with less boxy fare. Wear this belted khaki dress with flap pockets for the full safari effect, or inch into the trend with a trench with flap pockets paired with a skirt and espadrilles. The safari look is perfect for any urban jungle.
