If that jacket were red, then it would be totally James Dean in "Rebel without a Cause".
The two-way zipper is an interesting touch. I've seen it a lot in women's fashion, but not so much in men's.
I think it definitely serves a utilitarian purpose.
Like for those times you eat 2 hamburgers and you don't want to take the jacket all the way off, so you unzip it from the bottom in order to make room for the food.
It just makes sense.
