The selection is incredible and the free shipping (both ways) along with your 365 day return policy had me immediately placing the shoes in my favorites (although I doubt that I will ever need a year to return anything, I was ordering a brand of shoes that I have never worn, and possibly may not wear for some time, so it really did help in influencing my buying decision).

I then went on to read numerous comments online regarding how quickly customers received their items - some as fast as the same day I believe (but next day for certain). Unfortunately I am not one of the luckier customers who will be able to boast about lightening fast delivery. *Sad Face* A big reason why I never order online is because I am always thinking, "What if something is wrong with the item once it arrives?" because unless it is also from one of the larger brick and mortar retail stores, you then must ship it back and therefore wait even longer to receive the item(s) you originally ordered (as opposed to returning or exchanging at a local store). But the even larger reason is due to the wait in general. If something is in stores and costs a bit more than what I can get it for online, I will always purchase in store.

(Yes, I am one of the rare few that likes to have what I pay for right then and there)

Anyway, I placed my order on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Amazingly, I went back just a few hours later and it said that my order had been shipped ('We've Sent It!')! I immediately got excited and thought, "could it be that I might actually get my order on Monday?" but alas, it was not to be. The departure scan turned out to be on 4/25 and the Scheduled Delivery: Friday, 04/29/2011, By End of Day. I suppose that is fine, but after reading about all of the fast deliveries; I was hoping to be added to that club. I actually was going to purchase another pair of shoes in hopes of wearing them to a gathering this mid-week, but it looks as though they would not have made it in time anyway. If I received my shoes in 1-2 days I would probably order a new pair every week (not even kidding)!

Maybe it has to do with where the shoes are coming from? Are those who receive their shoes so quickly paying for shipping instead of opting for the free alternative?

I will be purchasing from Zappos.com for certain in the future. If the service lives up to all that I have read, you will without doubt gain a regular customer in me (and in more than just shoes – I see a D&G watch that I want :)!
