Add a hot trend shade - neutral nude, plus a classic, versatile style and have the best of both worlds in Jean Paul Gaultier's Le Tresorier utilitarian chic tall cross-body bag in fine pebble leather. Perfect for a bike ride, a trek through NYC's Soho neighborhood, or a quick trip to the grocery store.

Bows are back, but take note: to look like a sophisticated lady and not a schoolgirl, pair this Be&D bow clutch with a little black dress or chic sheath.

Mix It Up With Neutrals

Feb 2, 2009 by Brett H.

We recently held our very first casting call for employees at the Kentucky warehouse! We encouraged them to mug for the camera while they tried on this week's trends: neutrals, grays, boyfriend jeans, and casual wear. Not surprisingly, the photos are amazing and the looks are to buy for! (wink wink!) Shop Zappos.com and find your favorite trends.

This spring's hottest trend is now at Zappos! Taurie M., Photographer, knows that looking good is all about the basics! You can pair a neutral blouse, pant or jacket with just about anything. Grab the basics and quit worrying about what to wear!

Clutch it and go! This Hobo International's supple, broken-in leather Lauren Dual Top Closure Clutch can go anywhere. The rich bordeaux color of this clutch is hot trend color of the season, the smaller size makes it ideal for going out after work, and the hidden pockets between the two top closures are perfect for lip gloss and keys. It can dress up jeans and a tee or give a pencil skirt some going out flavor.

Messenger-inspired handbags are not new, but the subtle new shape and bold new colors give them a whole new freshness. Couture is loving this rich-hued Furla Cross Body handbag. It is the perfect pop of color for any monotonal outfit.

How can one not be a studdette when you’re carrying a studded bag. Hardware’s coming back and it’s on bags in a big way. This Betsey Johson handbag is a perfect example.

The Couture team admires many fabulous fashionistas and fashionistos here at Zappos.com. We love spotting a well put together outfit that looks as though it were just thrown on without much effort but is fashionably fabulous nonetheless. So we decided to share some of our favorite 'style stars' with you. This week's pick is the lovely Ms. Mica.

Fringe reminds some of days in the Ol' West, clearly designers drew inspiration from those days for Fall 2008. Fringe, seen on scarves and bags, above, seems to be making a comeback. What do our readers think? Is this trend too cowgirl? Or do you love the boho chic about it? Tell us, we'd love to know.

THE NATURALS

Clothing as well as accessories this season are taking a very ‘natural’ turn. For the past two seasons cork and woven straw have been the materials of choice for designers, along with unprocessed wood. Add in the current season’s fascination with glazed cotton, woven straw, brushed cork, burlap and wood in every form imaginable, you have what I call a natural revolution. Whether it is being fueled by the current eco-consciousness of global warming, or the ethical treatment of workers, it is a trend that shows no sign of abating. Perhaps with the luxury sector being such a flippant, toss-it-aside industry, where buy it today and you can’t use it tomorrow, it stands to reason to incorporate biodegradeable options as a design ethos. Choose Donna Karan Collection peep-toe cork and wood ankle strap heels, Ferragamo’s woven and bejeweled dual handle purse, Missoni wood and chain necklaces or Ben Amun’s wooden bangles.

THE DAILY TREND - CROC-EMBOSSED

Jan 1, 2008 by Stephanie_Sims

Ladies, It's no croc — embossed that is — that the current obsession of embossed crocodile pieces are ruling the reptilian fashion jungle. Choose a large envelope or long trapezoid shape clutch, or a round-toe stiletto to add a little pop to any style. I suggest a gold croc-embossed pump to add a little ooh-la-la to a LBD or take a cue from Sarah Jessica Parker and wear a lived-in stolen-from-your-boyfriend's-closet-sweater with jeans look and a wine croc-embossed clutch that says casual but totally fabulous.
