WHY SPLURGE? 1. Because they are Alexander McQueen shoes, duh. 2. The uber high heels, which makes the legs look uber long. 3. The spot on trend color, fuschia.

SATC MOVIE COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU SOON

Ah, just seeing the initials SATC (Sex and the City), makes me yearn for a fruity martini and pine for the asphalt jungle that was the backdrop for the former HBO show and the upcoming movie. I admit, as much as I have tried, I have not been able to resist all of the pictures and trailers circulating on the internet that quietly beckon my attention. How can one not be anxious and thrilled that on May 30th, the girlsSarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis — will be back in fabulous fashionable force? Who doesn’t want to know what hijinks Samantha is up to or if Smith J. is back? Does Brady have a sibling yet? Is little Elizabeth Taylor et all still part of the story line? Will Big finally marry Carrie and what will the other starring characters — the wardrobe — be like? Considering the cult following the show had, and by all the blog accounts, the movie will be an instant hit. We will have to wait to see, but in the meantime, cosmopolitan anyone?

FASHION TIDBIT: GIVENCHY'S FINE TUNING

Feb 27, 2008 by Stephanie R.

He sings a falsetto that makes many gasp (wondering if it is painful to do so I’m sure), has a ‘sexy back’, dances, produces, acts — well, if you call it that. Yes, I’m discussing Justin Timberlake and his newest assignment, being the new face for Givenchy Parfums’ men’s fragrance. I suppose since his tour is finished, his clothing line William Rast is sailing along, and his current squeeze is away in London filming, he thought why not (we know he doesn't need the money). As for Givenchy, this a great coo for them, because Justin has a built-in audience. With that will come thousands of screaming fans — 13 to 40 — rushing the international doors to get the fragrance, and thousands more of amors, significant others, drowning in the scent to keep their partners happy. Cha-ching!

WE COULD ALL USE A LITTLE POSH

Most of the public might find them obnoxious, but we at Couture love those Marc Jacobs ads featuring the diminutive Victoria 'Posh' Beckham. We're not sure if its the blank canvas approach to the shots, her standing doll like with a vacant stare, the ridiculousness of the big plastic bag, the stepping out of a box, or the haloed angel decked out in black, but they always manage to captivate me. After all, here is a woman that is always tanned just so, never loses that dour expression, dresses sometimes to the extreme, but always carries it off. She is more fascinating than most, because she gets what the public thinks of her and can poke fun of the poking fun. Who else could pose nearly naked in all manner of repose with her hot mate, throw out a baseball in wedge high heel sneakers, or run behind their two-year-old in platforms?

THE DAILY TREND - CROC-EMBOSSED

Ladies, It's no croc — embossed that is — that the current obsession of embossed crocodile pieces are ruling the reptilian fashion jungle. Choose a large envelope or long trapezoid shape clutch, or a round-toe stiletto to add a little pop to any style. I suggest a gold croc-embossed pump to add a little ooh-la-la to a LBD or take a cue from Sarah Jessica Parker and wear a lived-in stolen-from-your-boyfriend's-closet-sweater with jeans look and a wine croc-embossed clutch that says casual but totally fabulous.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE...WITH CLOTHING LINES

Nov 18, 2007 by Stephanie_Sims

The Hills has much more going on than the catfights and fabulous outfits. But it does have to do with fabulous outfits, actually.

Heidi Montag, villainness of The Hills, is taking a needle out of costar Lauren Conrad’s sewing box. She has just reportedly signed a deal to design her own line of clothing. This fast spreading affliction seens to be de rigueur for the “I think I can design because I am hot right now” young Hollywood set. First Nicky Hilton, then her sister Paris, followed by Mandy Moore, Amanda Bynes and Lauren Conrad, but the list goes on. Just how many clothes can a fashionable girl/woman wear? It is a Hollywood punishable offense to repeat an outfit!

This deal for Heidi follows on an earlier one where she will be the face of the spring/summer 2008 campaign for the store Anchor Blue along with designing seasonal pieces for them. We wonder what her pieces will look like; we actually like some of Conrad’s past pieces.
