Silk Road

The perfect dress combines many elements; a great sleeve, perfect drape and cut, a fab fabric, a great neckline, and a stand-the-test-of-time silhouette. Jean Paul Gaultier' s silk floral print dress with flutter cap sleeves and back collar caplet is as close to dress perfection that we've seen here at Couture in quite a while. Add strappy sandals, simple silver jewelry, and a mini clutch for the perfect exclamation point to a simple, elegant ensemble.

Juicy Couture has their hands on the pulse of what is hot and stylish. Take their espresso-hued Gigi platform sandal, which combines one of the hot trends of the season - wood, with a dark, rich hue, and spot-on details. Pair with slouchy skinny jeans, a boyfriend rolled sleeve blazer, one shouldered teeand long silver earrings, for a look that is California cool.

Moschino's pearl-embellished platform sandals are at once playful, whimsical, and an edgy twist on a iconic classic, much like the company itself. Take charge of the boardroom with a structured three-quarter sleeved belt dress and elelgant silver and pearl jewelry.

She's the First Lady...Of Fashion

Feb 12, 2009 by Stephanie Sims

When you're living life in the White House, people are bound to scrutinize First Family members for choices they make. Luckily, at least with fashion, Michelle Obama has been making great choices so far.

She worked hard campaigning stylishly up until Inauguration with sheaths from Thakoon, Ikram and Narciso Rodriguez, and she saved one of her best dresses for last: her off-the-shoulder gown by Jason Wu, which she wore for her first dance with the new president. But women of America can also look up to her because she balances designer dresses with the occasional accessory from J. Crew or even H&M. The First Lady, wearing H&M? It's not preposterous. Michelle is for the people, and for the people, she keeps her fashion real.

Mrs. Obama has a great mix of high-low priced pieces and great taste that clearly inspires others. Need proof? The custom-made, olive green, cashmere-lined gloves J. Crew gave her to wear on Inauguration day were such a hit with women across the country that J. Crew is now producing exact replicas to sell in stores. With all that clamoring for Michelle's J. Crew gloves, did any women pay attention to our first black president's swearing in? Hmmm...

Regardless, history is being made - politically and fashionably.

Missoni and the Valentino Fashion Group announced Friday that they will renew the partnership both companies initially established in 2005. The VFG S.p.A., home to brands like Hugo Boss and Proenza Schouler, agreed to join into the partnership with Missoni to help expand Missoni's secondary line, M Missoni.

M Missoni, a women's line, first launched in 1999. "This long term renewal expresses the trust that Missoni has in the Valentino Fashion Group," said VFG's CEO, Stefano Sassi, to Fashion Week Daily. "It will allow us to put more emphasis and attention on the development of the retail network and to continue with the ambitious goal of further growth of the brand at a global level."

Keep It Cool

Valentine's Day is coming up, and this usually means guys go through a series of emotions when their girlfriend is expecting something big, extravagant, fancy and romantic. First there's panic, then there's doubt about whether they can come up with something great, then frustration, and finally, they settle on a dinner in a nice restaurant that's dimly lit. Good choice, guys - especially if you dress for the
occasion with a nice blazer and nice slacks. Then your girlfriend really won't be able to resist you.

How To Wear It: 1.) Jean Paul Gaultier grey button-down 2.) Hugo Boss charcoal pants 3.) Moschino navy blazer 4.) Cesare Paciotti shoes

Here is the second installment of the Kentucky Warehouse casting call for employee models! We encouraged them to mug for the camera while they tried on this week's trends: neutrals, grays, boyfriend jeans, and casual wear! Not surprisingly, the photos are amazing and the looks are to buy for! (wink wink!)

The Daily Trend - Metallic High Heels

Oct 5, 2008 by Stephanie Sims

Why go for dull, regular-colored shoes when your heels can really shine? Metallic high heels, like these Be&D heels, liven up a dress or black pants. Just don't go overboard - maybe carry a metallic clutch, but anything else and it's veering on metallic overload.
