Maggie Gyllenhaal wore what looked like a green, checkered muumuu with shiny, black balloon pants underneath to an event in New York City. There must be something about New York that makes celebrities choose awful outfits.

Michelle Trachtenberg was seen at an event in New York wearing a short, sparkly mini-dress with butterflies on it. She paired the dress, which was purple with huge butterflies, with black tights to make the outfit even more ridiculous.

Red is always a hot color, but more and more celebrities have been seen sporting red on the red carpet. Michelle Williams also has been sporting a short pixie cut for a while too. Her short blonde locks are an extreme for most people, but it does suit her well. Other stars who are sporting the short cuts include Tori Spelling, Sophia Bush, Kerry Washington, Rihanna and Christina Ricci.
