Actor Chad Lowe is going to be a daddy. Chad's girlfriend, Kim Painter, is pregnant with their first child. According to Lowe's rep, "The couple is overjoyed and could not be happier." The baby is due in early summer time. Congratulations to this couple, but really does anybody in Hollywood ever get married first and then have a baby?

Ashlee Simpson is coming to the defense of her sister. Lately there have been all kinds of comments going around tabloids and blogs about how much weight Jessica Simpson has gained. Well, Ashlee has spoken out against all the bad comments by expressing her opinion on her blog, "I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight. Since when did a woman's weight become news worthy?" She goes on to say, "All women come in different shapes, sizes and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard." Good for Ashlee, and she is totally right. Even if Jessica Simpson did gain some weight, why do people have to make a big deal out of it? I think every woman battles with her weight and self-esteem and since Jessica is human, she has the same problems and insecurities as the girl next door.

Hugh Hefner is not wasting anytime racking up more girlfriends after the exit of Holly, Bridget and Kendra. Not only does he have the 19-year-old twin girlfriends, Karissa and Kristina Shannon, but he has added a third girlfriend into the mix. Crystal Harris is the newest girlfriend. She met Hefner at the 2008 Halloween party at the mansion. There was one point in the past were Hefner had 7 girlfriends. I wonder how much he is paying these girls to be his girlfriends.

It appears that Jessica Biel wants to be just like her boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. Biel visited a recording studio earlier this month and recorded a couple of tracks. Her rep stated that Jessica did "an amazing job." What is her rep supposed to say? That she really sucked at singing? Her rep is on her payroll! Jessica has sung before when she was a younger kid and preformed in musicals and plays. So, who knows, maybe she can really sing. Maybe her and Justin will put out a pop record together and become the king and queen of pop?

Carrie Underwood is the latest celebrity to be featured as a wax figure at Madam Tussauds in New York. When asked about her wax figure, Carrie stated, "Honestly, it looks so good, it's almost kind of creepy looking at myself." While at the unveiling of her wax figure, Underwood also answered questions about her feud with Jessica Simpson, who is dating Underwood's ex, Tony Romo. Underwood stated that there is absolutely no feud between her and Simpson, who she has only met once quite briefly, and Jessica "seemed really nice." I guess this is one celebrity feud we can put to rest.

For all you fans of Lindsay Lohan's character on the television show Ugly Betty, don't get too attached to her. Lohan has been cut from the six episodes of the series down to the four that she has already recorded. Among the rumors swirling in Hollywood is that America Ferrera, who is the star of Ugly Betty, and Lindsay Lohan were not getting along so well on the set. Supposedly, Ferrera was getting tired of Lohan thinking she was the star and acting like she was too good for everybody. If you remember, Lohan had the same issues when she filmed a couple of movies in the past. I guess her rehab didn't help her professional attitude.

It's official - John Mayer has officially moved on after breaking things off with his ex, America's favorite friend, Jennifer Aniston. In Touch Magazine reported that John Mayer hooked up with a cocktail waitress just the other night and frankly, nobody is too surprised. John Mayer certainly has a history of hooking up with random and not-so-random girls, like Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt and most recently Jennifer Aniston. Hmm, I wonder if that cocktail waitress' name started with the letter J as well.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Aniston is moving on in her own way as well. Sources are confirming that Jennifer will appear in an episode of NBC's hit sitcom, 30 Rock, this upcoming season. It's nice to see that Jennifer doesn't consider herself too big of a star to return to her TV roots.

Star Magazine is reporting that Ashlee Simpson's doctor told her that she's gaining too much weight, too quickly during her pregnancy. Now do doctors really talk that way to pregnant women? And even if it's true, it seems highly unlikely that Ashlee Simpson could gain too much weight, seeing as how she didn't weigh much to begin with. Still, Star Magazine claims that Ashlee is so scared by what the doctor said that she is stocking up on Size 0 jeans to help motivate her to get back in shape once the baby is born.

Celebrity publicist Lizzie Grubman just announced that she is pregnant with twins. She and husband, Chris Stern, already have a 1-year-old son, named Harrison, who is eagerly anticipating his new siblings.

And another couple who just announced their plans to have a baby very soon is Queen Latifah and her partner, Jeanette Jenkins. Now, I didn't even know that Queen Latifah was involved with anybody, much less a woman, so that's even bigger news to me than the fact that the two are eager to adopt a child of their own. The recently slimmed down actress is also planning on getting married in California to her partner very soon.

Looks like her boyfriend, Entourage star, Adrian Grenier, wasn't in the know about Isabel and Shia hanging out, because shortly after the accident the couple split up.

Carrie Underwood slung some mud back at Jessica Simpson in a recent interview in Allure magazine. Jessica was recently photographed in a t-shirt that said, "Real Girls Eat Meat" and of course it's a well-known fact that Carrie Underwood, who is also Tony Romo's ex-girlfriend, is a vegetarian. Well, it seems that Tony Romo still calls Carrie Underwood from time to time, although she does admit that she doesn't always pick up the phone when she sees it's him. I wonder how Jessica Simpson is going to take this little tidbit of news.

And it looks like Tori Spelling won't be returning to Beverly Hills 90210 after all. Online reports are saying that the Beverly Hills alum is upset over the fact that she wasn't offered the same amount of money per episode as her former co-stars, Jennie Garth and Shannon Doherty. Jennie and Shannon are mum on what they were offered, but both say that they don't really believe the issue is about money. Hmm, what could it be about then, ego?

The Hills might be MTV's most popular reality TV show, but that doesn't mean that its stars are loved by everybody. Neighbors of Lauren Conrad and fellow roommates, Lo Bosworth and Audrina Patridge, are not too happy about the fact that tour buses and paparazzi are constantly invading what used to be a quiet, little neighborhood. Still, there's not much that the girls can do about either of those, so for now they're staying put.

Another big trend with shoes among celebrities is still the classic ballet flats. Ballet flats can be worn in spring, summer and even into the fall. You can even wear dark colored ballet flats into winter as long as you are not walking through five feet of snow. They are basically a shoe for all seasons. Such celebrities such as Blake Lively, Jessica Biel, Katie Holmes, Naomi Watts, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan all wear ballet flats around town. For once celebrities actually got it right, since ballet flats are such a comfortable shoe. You can wear them in a variety of colors and designs. Some have adornments on them and others are just plain. One of the most popular flats is by Elie Tahari. They come in so many different colors and styles that you are sure to find one that suits your outfit and style.

In an interview with US Weekly, Heidi Montag announced that what she most wants in life is to record a Christian music album. There are so many things wrong with the sentence that I don't even know where to start.

First, why does US Weekly keep interviewing Heidi Montag? She and boyfriend, Spencer Pratt, must have some dirt on somebody there, because they keep interviewing her and even putting her on the cover, even though the two have no talent between them and everybody hates them.

Secondly, why does Heidi insist on pursuing a music career when her last attempt at recording a CD was a miserable failure? Now, maybe she's thinking she'll take a cue from Jessica Simpson and try switching music genres to gain a little momentum. But she forgets that you actually have to have some musical talent to start with! And she's even claiming that she and Spencer want to travel to Africa to feed children and build "things." What kind of things, Heidi?

You know that she doesn't have a clue and she's hoping that by mentioning the bible in every interview, it will count for something with the Christian music crowd. Never mind the fact that she's considered one of MTV's worst villains and that she's been filmed lying, cheating, backstabbing, living and sleeping with her boyfriend and is incredibly shallow and self-centered. Yeah, that'll go over real well when she's trying to break into Christian music.

In other blonde news, Britney Spears was finally granted overnight visits with her boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James. You've got to hand it to Britney, she's really making an effort to straighten her life out. It seems like things have only gotten better since she kicked her good-for-nothing friend/manager, Sam Lufti, out of her life and her dad stepped in to oversee her career and finances.

And there is a lot of gossip going on about the cast of Gossip Girls, but it's not the girls that people are interested in. Instead, people are wondering if Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick are more than "just friends." Chace has been linked with American Idol-winner Carrie Underwood and, most recently, to JC Chasez. We'll see how this story develops.

MTV is handing out spin-off shows like candy to the cast of the popular reality show, The Hills. We first heard that Whitney Port would be getting her own "Hills"-type show, but now playboy Brody Jenner is going to be getting a "Tila Tequila"-type show, called Bromance, where guys will compete to be part of Brody's entourage. You know what would be hilarious - if Spencer Pratt, Brody's former BFF, was among the contestants!

You'll be happy to hear that the world is safe from the spawn of Paris Hilton... for this month anyway. Although there had been rumors that the heiress might be pregnant because of what appeared to be a baby bump, Paris was recently spotted partying at a club for the filming of her upcoming reality show and indulging in some drinking and smoking. So either she's not pregnant or just really dumb. Of course, this is Paris Hilton we're talking about, so it could go either way.

Jennifer Garner recently had a bit of a scare while on out with the Jennifer Garner mini-me, daughter Violet. She accidentally locked the keys in the car along with her daughter. Luckily, she was able to give directions to Violet through the window and the smart tot was out quicker than she could say "Jennifer Lopez is my almost-mommy".

And *Jessica Simpson*'s country album hasn't even been released but that hasn't stopped the tabloids from creating drama between her and another blonde bombshell country star. Jessica Simpson was recently spotted wearing a t-shirt that read, "Real Girls Eat Meat". Seems like a pretty innocent t-shirt until you consider the fact that Tony Romo dated Carrie Underwood not too long ago and Carrie is known to be very open about being a vegetarian. Hmm, this could get interesting.

Shotgun weddings are nothing new in Hollywood - just look at Jessica Alba and Ashlee Simpson. But is there another Hollywood couple that's getting ready to make the rapid plunge into marriage and parenthood? The Sun is reporting that Justin Timberlake is getting ready to pop the question to Jessica Biel very soon. Apparently, Justin is at the age where guys start thinking about marriage and family and he has even been looking at islands where the couple could tie the knot away from paparazzi-infested LA. Of course, we could all be jumping the gun here since Jessica Biel hasn't even been spotted with an engagement ring yet.

Someone who isn't heading down the aisle anytime soon is one of Hollywood's famous perpetual bachelors, George Clooney. He recently broke off the year-long relationship with former Vegas cocktail waitress, Sarah Larson. In Touch claims that Sarah has moved out of George Clooney's home due to the fact that, well, that George dumped her. Apparently George wasn't too keen on the idea of being tied down to just one woman for the rest of his life. Well, that and the fact that the he had zilch in common with the twenty-eight year old. Go figure.

Anybody remember little Ruthie Camden from the squeaky clean family TV show, 7th Heaven? Well, it looks like little Ruthie isn't quite as squeaky clean anymore. Photos of the now 19-year old, Mackenzie Rosman, who played Ruthie Camden on 7th Heaven, kissing another girl recently surfaced and are causing quite a buzz online. There are also other photos of Mackenzie posing in her bra and underwear, much like the photos of Miley Cyrus that made headlines earlier this year.

Jessica Simpson is no stranger to cheating rumors. She reportedly cheated on then-husband, Nick Lachey, with Maroon 5 frontman, Adam Levine before the couple called it quits. Well, there are now reports that she may have cheated on Tony Romo with *Cameron Diaz*'s ex, Jared Leto. Now if it's true, I'm not sure you can really call it cheating since Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson are constantly on-again/off-again. Poor Jessica probably just got confused and didn't realize that she and her football boyfriend were on-again. Oops. Jared Leto of course denies that the there is any validity to the rumors.

Despite the cheating rumors, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo are back on again. But this time Tony has laid down the law and told Jessica that if her overbearing father doesn't stay out of their relationship, he's walking. Well, if that's the case then Jessica and Tony probably won't even make it past summer.

And American Idol winner, David Cook, recently took time from his busy schedule to pay a visit to his former American Idol buddy, Luke Menard. Luke was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and is currently undergoing treatment. David Cook and Aussie, Michael Johns, along with Jason Yeager dropped in on Luke and his wife to chat and offer him support during this difficult time. David Cook's older brother, Adam, has also been in the spotlight due to his battle with brain cancer, so it was only fitting that David Cook would think of his friend despite his newfound
fame.

Why Miami Swim Fashion Week is worth attending, and why Rosa Cha is the highlight of the swim fashion shows.

The pickings for fashion shows in the United States are slim over the summer, but there's one event worth getting excited over (especially if you're slim yourself): Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim. It may not have the suspense of a Marc Jacobs fashion show at New York Fashion Week (will the audience have to wait longer than two hours for the show to start?) or the drama of Viktor et Rolf at the Paris couture shows (will the key looks resemble hang gliders?), but I can't think of a more relaxing fashion show for mid-July.

Miami Swim Fashion Week will be July 18 through July 22 at the Raleigh Hotel, a super-chic South Beach boutique property with one of the world's most stunning pools. It kind of resembles a stylized pineapple with scrolls, but it defies explanation - go to their Web site http://www.raleighhotel.com and look for yourself. If you score an invite, you too can lounge around under black-and-white umbrellas drinking mojitos with South American millionaires while models walk by in the world's most stylish swimwear. Now that's my idea of a fashion show!

Designers showing at Miami Swim Fashion Week include ANK by Sabino, Ashley Paige, Badgley Mischka, Becca, Cia Maritima, Eduardo et Donna, Rosalia, Jacquelyne Love, Bella Mar Swim, Miss Bikini, Parke & Ronen and Jessica Simpson. I'm particularly curious about the latter, since if anyone can design a swimsuit that flatters large-busted women it should be her. However, the Miami Swim fashion show I'm most interested in is Rosa Cha.

Rosa Cha may sound like a chic Asian female designer, but the line was created by Brazilian male Amir Slama. No one does swimwear better than Brazilians (sorry, Jessica!), so this is the Miami Swim fashion show to watch for - and not just because it's held by the pool. There are many fashion industry people who don't even think of swim as true fashion (remember the "Project Runway" challenge where the designers were supposed to create costumes for female pro wrestlers and Ricky got blasted because his design "looked like a bathing suit"?), but Amir Slama knows how to create figure-flattering, super sexy looks that still have the look of a haute runway.

His most recent show (Spring 2008) featured Piet Mondrian-like embellishments on suits in subdued versions of colors of the moment like gray, taupe, blood red, cobalt blue and salmon. He may be single-handedly responsible for the current trend of the monokini (a one-piece swimsuit with large cutouts on the side to expose a lot of skin), and his creativity with cut is unparalleled. Some of his looks are daring, some are more traditional, but they're all head turning, especially when worn by models with actual curves. Come to think of it, I've done New York Fashion Week, both spring and fall, and I can live without the suspense and drama in exchange for all Miami Swim has to offer. Rosa Cha just may be my favorite fashion show of the year!
