When we promote people at Zappos.com, we like to have a little fun with the person getting promoted. Today William was surprised with his promotion in our Customer Loyalty Team.

We were extremely honored to have Sean Stephenson, a well known motivational speaker and author, tour the Zappos Headquarters this past Tuesday and speak to our entire Las Vegas staff. This guy is definitely one of the most memorable visitors we have ever had, and he enjoys making people laugh, and getting people to talk about the size of their but!
Oh, and it wasn't technically National Popcorn Eating day, it just was to us.
We like to have a lot of fun here at Zappos, and our Cruise Ship department are the ones who continue to come up with great events for all of us. Today we celebrated them for all they do.
Tony, our CEO, was invited to speak at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. But the coolest part about this is that he was speaking in the famous "O" Theater!

And even though they didn't let him go for a swim, the head pastry chefs did make him a cake, complete with chocolate high heel, to thank him for his inspiring presentation.
The old Zappos homepage lived a short life, but it saw a lot during it's time. We are all excited about the new layout, which we feel is more user friendly, and much more aesthetically pleasing. We're not calling Zappos Classic ugly, but we are giving it a proper burial.

Recently Zapponians got their party on at the annual Zappos KY Holiday Party. It was a topsy turvy night with colorful decorations, great drinks, dancing, and even a marriage proposal. She said yes!! Party on!
At Zappos, our developers speak many languages: English, Spanish, Polish, Japanese, Hindi, Perl, Java (to name a few). However, an equally important language we speak on a daily basis is one of take-no-prisoners geek fun and good times. Check out this video featuring some of our truly next level events from the past year!

A few lucky people from Zappos were recently invited out to the Lucchese boot factory located in El Paso, Texas. We were given a tour of the facility and the opportunity to actually help design some new Lucchese boots! Perhaps the best part of the whole experience was getting to enjoy some true southern hospitality. Thanks again Lucchese and we hope to see ya’ll again real soon!
Have you ever wanted to know how to make frozen hot chocolates, how to wear your boyfriend's clothes, how to say random spanish phrases or how to scare your coworkers? Well you can find out how to do all of these things and a whole lot more on zapposhowto.com.
I know, just when you thought Zappos couldn't be any more helpful, we go and do something like this.
And if there's something you're dying to know, comment below and we'll do our best to show you how.
Just announced yesterday, Zappos.com was ranked #15 on the 2010 Fortune Magazine "100 Best Companies To Work For" list!(We ranked #23 last year.) Thank you to all of our loyal customers, awesome vendors and extremely dedicated team members for helping to kick off another great year. We could not have done it without you!
Yevan in Finance was surprised to say the least when her Fiance arrived to tour the Zappos.com office with a dozen red roses and a BIG question !
Our comrades in Donguan, China are not only very important members of the Zappos Team, they are also very talented!
Every new hire needs to go through New Hire Training in order to learn how Zappos.com "WOWs" their customers through great customer service. Those who move on to our Customer Loyalty Team go through another stage of training which we call "Incubation".
Can you tell the difference between beverage C and beverage P? Most people say there isn't a distinct difference in the two but our Timberland rep Jodi, a big cola connoisseur, begs to differ. So we decided to do a blindfolded taste test with him and a non cola drinker, Melissa, to see if there is a pretty distinct taste difference in the two.
Note: Melissa hasn't had a sip of regular soda in over 3 years...but she somehow remembers the difference in taste.
