You can never have too much knowledge in that noggin of yours. In fact, one of our 10 core values here at Zappos is, pursue growth and learning, and that is one of the many reasons why we developed the Training Leadership Development department. The TLD department offers classes that teach skills specific to certain positions and departments that will help employees grow in the company.
One of these mandatory courses is the Zappos Culture Class, which teaches just that – ways to enhance the zany culture inside Zappos. It’s a four week class and it isn’t all fun and games. By the end of the four weeks, groups will have to plan and expedite a Zappos wide event (example: holiday dress up day) and do a book report on one of the books that we have in our library.
