I don’t know if you’ve heard but Zappos has been selling pots and other housewares for a while now. Besides pots, pans and cutlery from Anolon, Circulon and Rachael Ray, which are currently available at Zappos, we’ve got Farberware and KitchenAid cookware coming pretty soon along with scales from Terraillon.

Pictured is the "Linear + Bowl" electronic scale from Terraillon. The transparent bowl can hold up to 2 liters and is dishwasher proof. The scale can weigh up to 5 kg – that’s 5000 grams or about 11 pounds. So if you have had chronic problems weighing out the correct amount of ingredients for cooking or baking, this should be able to handle the load. It measures in 1 gram increments so if you need to weigh small amounts of herbs or spices, this model may not be the best choice.

The scale does have a “tare” function so it can take into account the weight of different containers, even moderately heavy stoneware dishes or ramekins. So you can substitute the supplied container with your favorite bowl. The Terraillon Linear + Bowl comes with a long-life lithium CR2032 battery and has a 2 year guarantee.

April 20 is just a month away but you could have a wonderful stash of nice new pots well beforehand. Yes, Zappos now sells pots - we currently have Anolon, Circulon, and Rachael Ray on the site.

Jousting below are our resident “potheads” Robert and Shyloh from the Housewares Merchandising team. They just returned from the huge International Home Housewares Show in Chicago. I think they are practicing for the Fencing competition in the upcoming Corporate Challenge.

Shyloh is very happy to report that they signed 45 new brands and she expects the following brands to be available on our site in the next six months – Saeco, Delonghi, Viking (small appliances), Gaggia, Emile Henry, Bodum, KitchenAid cookware, Paula Deen for Farberware, and Keurig to name a few!
