In honor of LIVESTRONG day, the merchandise planning team is having a Yellow Bake Sale. Tons of not only yummy, but pretty Yellow treats! The Merchandise Planning team celebrates their fearless leader's birthday today with yummy dishes and desserts. She will continue the celebration tonight at the XS nightclub, 3000 people are expected to attend her birthday party. Happy Birthday Amara!

In honor of the Shopaholic of the team, the Merchandise Planners celebrated Michelle's birthday today by decorating her work area with shopping bags & boxes. The best part, beautiful home made cupcakes! Happy Birthday Michelle!

Mercedes and JC from local radio station Mix 94.1 toured the Zappos Office today, and the best part had to be the LIMBO with the Merchandise Planning Team! Mercedes and JC were wonderful sports, Limo Experts! Thanks Mercedes and JC for spending some time with us!

The Merchandise Planning team enjoyed a team event at the new "M Resort" in Henderson. The evening started out with wine tasting at the Hostile Grape followed by dinner at the Studio B buffet. It was a fun filled evening with great friends, food and fine wine and beers. Definitely a recommended way to build team and wine spirits...I mean family spirit with your team :)

The Performance Merchandise Planning Team held it's second event in the cube: THUMB WAR! The team has started a new tradition of hosting an event before the quarterly recognition meetings.

The competition was done bracket style and was very competitive. Winner, Chris B. received zollars, a sombrero and a hand made thumb cozy created by Kathleen J. What will next quarters special event be?

In Celebration of Spring, the Merchandise Planning Team is hosting May Day!

Zapponians have the option to create their own basket full of goodies or buy pre-made baskets at the Maypole. Baskets are $1.00 which includes free delivery to your favorite Zappos friends on May 1st. All proceeds will go the Nevada Children's Cancer Foundation.

Daisy from Merchandise Planning hosted Girls Night last Saturday evening. It was basically a girls pig out, a movie and fun girl talk. We had a cook off, Filipino Longanisa vs. Portuguese Linguica, along with salad, cheese, Shrimp Mozambique and 20 different kinds of wine, even PINK wine, a must have for girls night! For dessert we did chocolate fondue and smores. It was definately the first of many girls nights to come. What can we say, the girls at work become some of your favorite friends :x
