Last week we had our eyewear expo here at Zappos. One of our vendors, Maui Jim, decided to bring along some entertainment to the event - Hula Dancers!

So, in true Zappos style, we had them do a parade through the the office and perform for everyone to see.

Yesterday was "Take you kids to work day" at Zappos. We had over 80 kids visit the office for this years event and we prepped all of them for their future of becomming great Zapponians by having them decorate cookies, play card games, and screaming contests - you know, all the basics that every Zapponian needs to know.

And in honor of "bring your kids to work day," the kids teams did a "peanuts" parade complete with snoopy and woodstock masks and roasted peanuts.


A big thank you to all the Zappos employees who help out, and made it a fun and exciting day for the kids.

Our Finance Team at Zappos are quite a great bunch, and the Random Acts of Kindness award that they give to two employees every week proves that fact!

Our blog man, Jason C., happened to be on hand for their parade and presentation this week, and he caught it all on camera! Take it away, Finance!

We love to have fun at Zappos, and sometimes it's at the expense of others :) We have a special new way of recognizing those that reply to all. We now honor that person with a parade and an awesome hat!

Yesterday, our very own Cathy T. made that error and with a quick click of her mouse, replied to all. So today we busted out the new hat, the noisemakers and the Zapponians and honored her with a parade! Cathy was a good sport about wearing the hat and participating in the parade, thanks Cathy for helping to create fun and a little weirdness!

Many moons ago, a man was born in Germany that now is a driving force for change and departmental cohesiveness that is a model for the future. So, on the anniversary of our own Alex K.'s birthday, in our desire to show tribute to this fine humanitarian, co-worker and friend, we waited until he stepped away from his desk for a moment, and then trashed it beyond repair.

Ryan A. from the FEZ team and Eric V. organized everything. (who, as you might remember, was treated on his birthday by the Alex and the fine FEZ team.) Eric ordered six 30 inch pizzas from Napoli's here in Vegas, and they were excellent! In the video below, we bring them in true Zappos parade style.
