Troy has done and seen may interesting things, in fact, he has been to 26 different countries in his life and have lived in several different States, his favorite of which is Oregon and he hopes to move back some day.
Since Zapponians are all about celebrating random holidays, such as International Pancake Day, Troy actually has a calender that gives you a random holiday for everyday of the month. So if you ever need a reason to have a party, go see Troy.
Having your corporate headquarters in Las Vegas comes in handy for many reasons. After work you can stop by the grocery store for milk, bread and slot machine play, and if that isn't cool enough, almost every convention that takes place on the earth happens right down the street.
And last week we were here for the Consumer Electronics Association's convention, CES. And, of course, Zappos being Zappos, we helped to plan a little party for the occasion. Intel, the computer giant, was the main sponsor for the show, along with co-sponsors Zappos, Intel, along with Brian Solis, Sarah Lacy, and Frank Gruber.
The party was held at the Sportbook Bar and Grill in the Palazzo Casino on Thursday evening, and was actually announced on Twitter. Many notable people showed up, especially to my surprise, IJustine, who we recently did a music video with for Zappos TV.
Below is a video recap of the evening! Thank you to Intel for throwing a great bash.... Party on, Wayne! And Party on, Garth!
PUMA PG Saddle shoes at Zappos.com - $94.00 O'Neill Bermudashorts at Zappos.com - $44.00
Linda Long dancing on the table at Zappos.com gathering - PRICELESS
(A little background: It was a Thursday night. The marketing department and other Zappos friends took over the Roadrunner patio. There was a farewell party for our friend Neill. There were friendships blossoming. There were funny stories being told. It started to get dark. There might have been a full moon? Hmmm...and then it happened...our very own Linda Long up on the table! Linda, we can probably never live up to that moment again but you set the standard high - you go girl!)
