It's officially peak season here at the Zappos Fulfillment Center, and peak season= craziness. But of course we have some AWESOME Zapponians that will step up and get the job done. We want to highlight our rockin' Receiving Department and all of their hard work as they kick off the peak season. They truly are superheroes. Great job you guys!

If you were to walk up to the help desk in the 2290 building last Friday, you probably would have been a bit confused, and if you're one of those people who never know what day it is, like myself then you might have checked your calender just to make sure it's not December.
Heaven decided that she was in the mood for Christmas carols, so she declared Christmas All Day day, and blasted her favorite holiday tunes and moved a few holiday items into the help desk area, just to make it a bit more believable.

Zappos.com hosted their 2nd annual Thumb War last week, and the competition was more fierce than ever! The Competetition hosted both a Men's and Women's Tournament with the 1st place prize of a Thumb Sized Trophy and 50 Zollars for use in our Zollar Store. Team Members have been training for Months with hopes to claim the title, but of course there was only room for one winner in each division. Congratulations to Myra D. and Anthony S. for capturing their coveted victories!
Today I came in and was excited to see that several folks had received new exercise balls from Think Ink Marketing. I noticed my Neighbor Melissa L. already had one and wasn't using her new one, so I immediately claimed it for myself. I've been using it for a little over a day and I can tell that my core and back muscles feel better already. Thanks Think Ink Marketing!
For our 10 year anniversary, Zappos gave all Kentucky and Nevada team members a 2009 Zappos Yearbook. Just like High school, we're taking turns signing each other's yearbooks(or Annuals as some people refer to them) and just chatting it up or looking at the pictures and taking a stroll down memory lane. We went around the office to see what a few folks found to be the most intriguing and or interesting part of this amazing anniversary gift.
We not only think that Rackspace is an awesome brand, but we also like that Rackspace is about fanatical Customer support. They recently made us a video wishing Zappos a happy 10th Birthday, and we wanted to pay them a little tribute.
If you've ever been around Vanessa for more than a few minutes, you definitely could tell she has a love for comedy. In fact, Vanessa loves comedy and being on stage so much, it's no wonder her entire wall around her desk is filled with pictures of her favorite comedians.

All of us on the Blogs Team know that Melissa L. is really good at Photoshop and can do amazing things with Pictures, but nobody likes to ask her for anything because she just avoids them by fake typing. I was having some trouble the other day and Brett couldn't help, so I had no choice but to ask Melissa for assistance.
