To showcase our talented and creative stylist team, we’ve decided to do a weekly Stylist Spotlight. This week’s stylist is Amanda B. Check out her classic take on style in these two super-wearable outfits she created just for Stylist Spotlight!

We asked Amanda a couple of questions to get to know more about her and her personal style:

What do you do at Zappos?

 I am a Junior Stylist, which means that I can be found doing a little bit of everything.  No day is ever the same; I could be doing anything from pulling the product off the shelves, steaming clothes, or styling.  It always makes for a fun and interesting work day!
 
What are a couple of fun facts about yourself? 

I have lived in 3 countries, I love to sew, and I always dress my pug up for Halloween.
 
Describe your personal style:

I like to keep my closet stocked with classic pieces and then add in some trendy accessories or quirky vintage jewelry. 

 
What was your last Zappos purchase, or what is your dream purchase?:

I splurged on myself and bought a pair of Frye Paige Tall Riding boot for the fall! 
 

What are your top 4 favorite brands at Zappos.com?

I’ve always been a believer that style and comfort can coexist. ECCO’s  Dress Casual Collection proves that classic, modern design never goes out of style.

Speaking of style, here are some of my tried-and-true tips to pull off a great cold weather look:

1. Skinny jeans or straight leg jeans work best for tucking into ankle and knee-high boots.
2. Try adding splashes of bright color into your ensemble with scarves, gloves and hats.
3. Layering is the key to stay comfy without having to deal with bulky winter jackets
4. When picking out a winter coat or jacket, make sure it’s not too big or it can make you look shapeless. However, make sure it’s roomy enough to accommodate layers.
5. Look for puffy jackets with more feminine cuts or ones that belt at the waist to give your shape more definition.

One of the coolest parts about my job is creating outfits for our Stylists’ Picks on the site. My style editing team and I strive to build easy-to-wear ensembles for all different types of people, from trendy fashionistas to outdoor enthusiasts.

To showcase how our stylists’ picks translate easily into real life, we’ve decided to do a makeover for one of our Zappos family members using their favorite featured ensemble.

Our first makeover session is with Debra F., one our ZCLT reps. Debra picked a classic evening look that’s perfect for a night out with her new hubby.

Check out how fabulous Debra looked after her head-to-toe style makeover! She rocked the gorgeous Ellen Tracy dress so well. And for someone who admittedly doesn't wear heels very often, Deb worked the sexy Nine West pointed-toe pumps!

We recently did a photo shoot right here in our own backyard; well, Nelson, NV to be exact, less than an hour away from Zappos HQ. There’s an awesome ghost town out there, and it made for a really cool backdrop to this fall shoot.
