The Reef Ugandal

Reef has teamed up with 31bits, an organization that aids displaced women Uganda refugee camps, to create the one-of-a-kind Ugandal. Through the practice of fair trade, Reef has pre-purchased the women’s’ handcrafted beads made of recycled magazine paper to adorn the sandal, supporting their livelihood while also offering an international voice to share their story.

Plagued by war and poverty, the Acholi people of Uganda have been forced to deal with immense tragedy and brutality which has forced nearly 1 million of them into refugee camps. 31 Bits is centered around using the creative art and entrepreneurship already present in the women to help get them out of poverty, offering them immense hope in spite of the ongoing war and uncertainty they must face each day.

Spy Optic Welcomes Tommy Searle To The Moto Team

Spy Optic, Inc., a leading action sports eyewear brand is stoked to have a new breed of talent competing in the SX/MX Lites class. Tommy is a 20-year-old British motocross racer who will be competing his first full year in the US. After a pair of runner-up seasons at the MX2 World Championships, Tommy Searle made his move to the US for 2009. After 12 rounds of the outdoor season, a trio of podium positions and some highs and lows, he finished sixth overall.

Tommy has been riding Supercross for the past couple months getting ready for his first season.

“I am having a lot of fun with Supercross and feel that I can be a top contender” Says Spy’s Tommy Searle.

Tommy will be racing in the Lites class for the factory FMF/KTM Factory Racing team in the West coast Supercross and Outdoor Motocross series.

The 2010 Supercross season kicks off on January 9th, 2010 in Anaheim, CA.

The Emerica skate team has been killing themselves to wrap up the new “Stay Gold” video to be released very soon. To commemorate these efforts, Emerica created a “Stay Gold” collection which features trippy psychedelic colors on canvas uppers, and spray painted outsoles….all of which are Vegan friendly!

The shoes featured in the pack are the Reynolds Cruisers – an ultra slim, low profile boat shoe which Andrew created to skate and chill in. The clean, simplistic styling hides a techy, super protective STI Foam Full-Length System G2 footbed on a vulcanized outsole. The Francis Lo – An Emerica team favorite. It’s a thinned-out 80’s inspired skate shoe built to shred.
