Here at Zappos, we’ve been making daily strides to become a more eco-conscious company as we get ready for the big move to our new Downtown Las Vegas headquarters this fall. So when we see other companies make real efforts towards becoming more sustainable, we naturally take notice!

Recently, Sole Technology, manufacturers of three of our Rideshop brands, etnies, Emerica and thirtytwo, made a huge leap for its commitment to the environment by unveiling their new eco-friendly European headquarters building in Amsterdam. Sole Technology believes that this new sustainably-designed building will make a dramatic impact in lightening the company’s overall carbon footprint.

The company is definitely committed to accomplish their goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2020. Sole Technology’s founder and owner Pierre-Andre Senizergues’ passion for the environment is the main force behind the company’s sustainability initiatives and guided the criteria for the design of the building.

Because of all their efforts, the new Sole Technology building’s energy consumption is said to be up to 60% less than that of comparable buildings! Now that’s a change we can get behind.
