Andy is also a proud member of the Art Dump team, a team of creative minds who make up the Girl Skateboard Company’s full-time art department.

Andy Jenkins’ artistic roots started back in Denver, Colorado where he moved when he was 17 and attended art school. He soon moved to California and spent the next several years working as a magazine editor, writer, designer and illustrator. He joined Girl Skateboard Company back in 1994. His work has been featured in several exhibitions worldwide, as well as several magazines and DVDs.

Daewon Song’s 12^th shoe collaboration with DVS Shoe Company is appropriately named the 12’er. It’s got a subdued, minimal design that’s as wearable as it is durable. This sleek collaboration was inspired by all of Daewon’s “non-achievements” in life that led him to his true passion: skateboarding.

From its humble inception to its superb skate shoe fruition, the DVS 12’er is a celebration of constantly learning something new about your talents. No matter how good we may think we are at something, there’s always room to learn new things and opportunities for new inspiration around every turn.
