Zappos Recycling Day

Yesterday was quite the exciting day here at Zappos HQ. Aside from a company-wide potluck for Thanksgiving (we’re STILL full from all the food), it was also Zappos Recycling Day!

A group of eco-minded Zapponians known as LEAF (Leading Environmental Awareness for the Future), got together to raise awareness about recycling and other ways we can all reduce our carbon footprint.

There was a can collecting competition, guest speakers, trivia, and a “Transform Your Trash Can into a Recycling Bin” decorating station to get everyone excited about being more eco friendly.

I'm about to return one pair of shoes, keeping two pairs. You know what would be really great? If I could send Zappos two pairs of old shoes in those newly empty boxes. And if Zappos worked with Soles4Souls or something similar to get the old shoes reused and/or recycled. Plus, Zappos could reuse or recycle the boxes.
