Twins are the New Hollywood Fashion Accessory

Is it just me or are twins the latest fashion accessory in Hollywood?

Adding their names to the list of celebs who are expecting twins are Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn. The couple married last year and the twins will be their first children.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are running from the hills – the Hollywood Hills that is. The couple recently told Extra that they are shopping for some new digs away from all the drama that comes with being a reality TV star in Hollywood. Of course, this being Speidi, they were also quick to mention that the home they hope to buy is in the $15 million range (yeah, right) and will be the home where they raise their family in. I don’t know if I buy the whole “getting away from the drama” story, my suspicion is that they’re being run out of Hollywood. Makes more sense, doesn’t it?

As if Ryan Seacrest hasn’t already appeared on a million different TV shows, he’s now eligible for an appearance on Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. That’s right, Ryan Seacrest was actually bitten by a shark while he was hanging out on the beach wearing his sexy swim trunks recently. Luckily, Ryan’s shark bite didn’t prove to be too bad – he was back on the air later that day bragging about it and asking for an Advil. What do you want to bet we hear about this shark bite for years to come from Ryan?

Rumor has it that the Gossip Girl stars Penn Badgley and Blake Lively are heating things up by constantly touching each other and making out on set that it’s making the other cast and crew members very uncomfortable. Not only that, but now that Penn Badgley has a new love interest on the show, Blake is becoming incredibly possessive to the point that nobody is talking to the new girl in fear of upsetting Blake. Anybody else see a cat fight in the future?

THE DAILY TREND - WEDGES

What does one wear when a stiletto, strappy sandal, or peep toe won’t do? Reach for a very modern, sexy wedge sandal, of course. The thicker heel makes this one of the most comfortable and versatile shoes to wear. Pair with a demure sundress, with romper-esque shorts, or a fitted jeans and a tee.

THE NATURALS

Clothing as well as accessories this season are taking a very ‘natural’ turn. For the past two seasons cork and woven straw have been the materials of choice for designers, along with unprocessed wood. Add in the current season’s fascination with glazed cotton, woven straw, brushed cork, burlap and wood in every form imaginable, you have what I call a natural revolution. Whether it is being fueled by the current eco-consciousness of global warming, or the ethical treatment of workers, it is a trend that shows no sign of abating. Perhaps with the luxury sector being such a flippant, toss-it-aside industry, where buy it today and you can’t use it tomorrow, it stands to reason to incorporate biodegradeable options as a design ethos. Choose Donna Karan Collection peep-toe cork and wood ankle strap heels, Ferragamo’s woven and bejeweled dual handle purse, Missoni wood and chain necklaces or Ben Amun’s wooden bangles.

WE CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH MAKEUP

To say the Couture team loves makeup is an understatement. We love the glossimers, the gel mascaras, the Juicy Tubes, the bronzers, the Cargo, the Chantecaille, the Giorgio. Yes, we know makeup well. Doesn’t almost every woman? So imagine our pure delight when Zappos.com started selling makeup. As we perused the website one evening to see what we would blog about next, we happened upon Lola Cosmetics . If you are a Sephora girl, then you know of Lola Cosmetics – adorable packaging, not-too-sticky gloss. I’m in love with the fab mini gloss kit, it lets me be a gloss mixologist. Since you’re already on Zappos.com, why not sit, click and grab some of the fabulousness for yourself?

THE DAILY TREND - CROC-EMBOSSED

Ladies, It’s no croc — embossed that is — that the current obsession of embossed crocodile pieces are ruling the reptilian fashion jungle. Choose a large envelope or long trapezoid shape clutch, or a round-toe stiletto to add a little pop to any style. I suggest a gold croc-embossed pump to add a little ooh-la-la to a LBD or take a cue from Sarah Jessica Parker and wear a lived-in stolen-from-your-boyfriend’s-closet-sweater with jeans look and a wine croc-embossed clutch that says casual but totally fabulous.
