Buy Comfortable Clothes for Your Day Hike Adventures

If you're an outdoors type, then you know that on a long hike, you need comfortable clothes. This isn't the time for a sexy sundress or those strapy sandals; it's time to choose clothing that is both functional and comfortable.
Start with your feet. While "walking shoes" may be fine for a stroll in the park or a walk around your neighborhood, they aren't suitable for hiking (although plenty of hiking boots can keep your feet happy on those shorter walks). These mid-height boots called the Moab Ventilator Mid from Merrell are perfect for a day hike. The top is a mix of Dura leather and ventilating mesh, and the shoe bed has a mesh lining to help keep your feet cool and comfortable. The Merrell-patented Air Cushion midsole gives your feet a comfortable bed, and the boots are sized specifically for women's feet; they're not just cut-down men's boots. The mid-height provides stability for your ankles to help prevent strains or falls.
Moving on, leave the jeans at home. They're cute, but they don't breathe. Choose these classic cargo pants in a not-so-classic color, black cherry, from Burton. They're made of a two-layer woven twill, and for extra comfort, they have thigh vents with mesh lining. The pants will wick moisture away from your skin, and the fabric lets you move without any uncomfortable binding.
Top the pants with the Trail Runner Warm Tech tee from Salomon. Form meets function with this tee. It's made from SMART SKINTM technology that provides maximum freedom of movement, wicks moisture away from your skin, and regulates your temperature. But looking at the pretty poppy print, you'd never know it's action wear! Panels under the arms give you protection from static and odor, and the flat seams make sure the shirt won't chafe.
Fill your pack with water, sunscreen, some trail mix and a map, and head out for the woods in your comfortable hiking wear!

Spring Clothing Tips: Boots

Just because spring is here, doesn't mean you have to put away those boots. In fact, a spotted spring trend on fashion runways is the revamped combat boot. This, however, is not your typical grunge-like military boot. This runway boot style features a feminine twist with an added stiletto heel. Seen on celebrities with varying styles, from rock chicks like Ashlee Simpson to fashionistas like Rhianna, almost anyone can wear this new combat boot. Here are a few styles available (and on sale) on Zappos.com, where you can stomp these runway combat boots onto your own personal style scene.

Botkier's Sandee boots look like they can take on any battle. The buckled bands give it a strong edgy feel while the 4-inch heel gives it a much needed sexy look. The boot's long shaft height makes it perfect for paring over skinny jeans. Tuck away your skinnies inside the boots and pair with a striped oxford and top off with a boyfriend blazer. For a grungier look, try a pair of acid wash skinny jeans and an oversized cotton tank top.

Nothing toughens up spring's flirty maxi dresses quite like a buckled mid-calf boot. Ralph Lauren Collection Helena boots feature multiple adjustable buckles on smooth polished leather. Its 3 ¾-inch stacked heel gives this classic combat a style that instantly adds edge to any outfit. Remember when wearing combat boots that feature heavy metal hardware, buckles and straps to keep the rest of your outfit fairly simple. Always pair with basic pieces like V-neck t-shirts and denim. Keep accessories to a minimum, because you already have plenty of metal and hardware on the most focal part of your ensemble. Try one staple piece of jewelry, whether it's a long necklace or an oversized ring, to complete your runway combat look.

Incorporating International Fashion into Your Wardrobe: Italian Flat Boots

We first saw flat boots in the European streets, mostly in Italy, and the trend slowly transcended from the Italian runways to the States during New York Fall Fashion week in 2009. Incorporate a little bit of European style by wearing some of the hottest fall boot styles, whether it be over the knee boots, slouchy boots, or ankle boots in a flat heel.

Try a pair of authentic European boots with a pair made in Italy, like Burberry’s Flat Suede Boots . These boots are the ultimate in luxury with a rich chocolate suede slouched upper, an engraved plate at the heel, and not to mention a leather lining and sole.

Stuart Weitzman’s Droop boot resembles a classic riding boot, however, its unique tiered design gives it a modern look. Made of Vecchio Napa leather, it’s available in two great colors. The droop boot’s best feature though, could be its hidden wedge; the perfect flat boot, if you want to sport the flat look but, are insecure about your height.

Fringe is another great trend for fall, take advantage of two great styles in one with Minnetonka’s 5-Layer Fringe Boot. This fun and fashionable boot is made of soft suede and an attractive fringe detail as well as a convenient side zipper. Available in three neutral colors, these boots are guaranteed to match any winter outfit in your closet. For a similar style in an ankle version, Juicy Couture’s Tara boot features suede and fringe along with extra stylish details like stud accents on the ends of each tie. The Tara boot is also available in three fun colors, including purple.

You don’t have to travel to Rome, Venice or Barcelona to bring a little Euro-style to your fall wardrobe, In fact you don’t have to go far at all for the latest in fall flat footwear.

Two Lips Kitty Kat

Two LipsKitty Kat boots are super fun and sexy. They are a perfect addition to any wardrobe and go with just about anything. From your favorite pair of skinny jeans or with a skirt and tights, they are perfect-o!

Our little Heaven was rocking these sky-high boots today at the Zappos.com Headquarters. One of the biggest trends to hit the industry this season has been over-the-knee boots. And not to be outdone, Two Lips™ has been a major player in that trend.

The Kitty Kat boots are comfortable, and Miss Heaven can testify to that. “I have been wearing them for about five hours or so and my feet don’t hurt at all,” she said.

As women, we know that comfort is key when it comes to buying shoes or boots. As we head into the winter months, we realize that warmth is important. Heaven also told us that she was warm and comfy in her Two Lipsboots. These Kitty Kats will appeal to fashionistas everywhere! We no longer have to exchange fashion for comfort! One can stay warm and look hot in boots like these. The lace-up feature on the back of the calf allows you to get a perfect fit and flexible suede provides versatility in how you choose to wear them. They can be worn up or slouched a little to suit your personal look.
