Thrash It Up With Fallen Kids

kids, skateboarding, action sports, back to school, skateboard, jamie thomas, fallen, fallen kids, x games, xgames, chris cole, billy marks, josh harmony, rideshop

There are skateboard shoes; then there are Fallen skateboard shoes. The difference is that pro skater Jamie Thomas sought to create a skateboard shoe for skateboarders, by skateboarders, when he founded Fallen. Thomas knows that your kicks have to be able to stand the true test of tearing up skateparks and the streets so he put together a team that includes pros Chris Cole, Billy Marks and Josh Harmony to develop his vision. The Fallen team put the same development into their kids shoes as their adult line.

The Chris Cole inspired Fallen Kids Trooper SL packs a huge punch for being so lightweight. For added protection, Fallen added a thin rubber layer under the toe-piece and crafted the shoe in genuine suede. You can rock the same shoes as Fallen founder Jamie Thomas in the Fallen Kids Rival SL, a slick pair of skating kicks that utilizes an asymmetric stabilizer for medial upper support. Check out all of the Fallen Kids products on Zappos.com and be sure to check out the Fallen team this summer at the X Games.

Skateboard Pioneers Do It Again

santa cruz, completes, rideshop, skateboards, skateboarding, tiki cruise missle, tuck n rolla, surf, screaming foot,

As if Santa Cruz Skateboards hasn't done enough for the skateboarding industry in the past 30 years, they've done it again with their new line of innovative completes. In the '80s and '90s, Santa Cruz began to produce legendary boards, designs that would help usher in a new wave of popularity for skateboarding and their latest releases could spark a whole new movement.

In 1985, Jim Phillips drew the Screaming Hand, which not only became an iconic Santa Cruz image, but an image that would become nearly synonymous with the entire skateboard industry. To this day, the Screaming Hand can be found on Santa Cruz decks, nearly untouched from when it was first created. The Santa Cruz Screaming Foot Right Complete is a throwback to the original Screaming Hand design, but the board has been cut into a foot shape and detailed with Phillips’ original aesthetic detailing. The White Bullet B147 trucks and 60mm OJ Hot Juice 78A wheels provide a smoothly stable ride. This complete offers a mellow concave design; with the board being so flat it almost feels broken in, great for flip tricks and maximum board control when flipping in and out of tricks. If you prefer the brands streamlined, old-school styles, the Santa Cruz Eye Pod Complete is a durable 100% Norther American maple wood deck that features original Jim Phillips artwork and a sleek stripe griptape. Cruise and striking speeds with the 65mm Road Rider™ 78A wheels and Yellow Bullet™ B137 trucks.

You don't need to be on the big island to cruise around with the Santa Cruz Rob Tiki Complete. The Cruz Missle II concave design features a steeper kicked nose for added response along with Yellow Bullet B147 trucks and 60mm OJ Hot Juice 78A wheels for cruising all night long. The surf-by-day/skate-by-night set will really enjoy the Santa Cruz Mako Shark Complete, a plywood board with a classic top graphic and sand spray grit. Hang ten on the streets using the equipped Black Bullet™ B147 trucks and 65mm Road Rider 78A wheels. Don’t worry, this board is only 33 inches long from nose to tail, so you don’t need to tie it down to the roof of your car. Speaking of cars, they also created the Santa Cruz Tuck N Rolla Complete, a hot and heavy hot rod-inspired design. The metal flake vinyl topdeck with custom stitched diamond pleats along with a foam liner for a cushioned and smooth ride that doesn't require shoes make this one of the most distinctive styles in the brand's history.

Santa Cruz Skateboards have proven once again that they are true pioneers of the industry. Check out all of our Santa Cruz Skateboards and other action sports products in the Rideshop on Zappos.com.

Kyle Loza RSS from etnies

Kyle Loza RSS

As a three time X-Games winner, Kyle Loza’s been lighting up the ramps with a flair all his own, so it’s about time he received the royal treatment with his first signature shoe from etnies. Kyle’s moto style screams of innovation and individuality and this special colorway of the RSS is no different. These black-to-the-floor kicks are heightened by the faux snake skin accent on the heel and the special embroidery details on the side and tongue. Plus, the footbeds feature replica prints of Kyle Loza’s tiger tattoo on his right hand and and his rat tattoo left hand.

Is Kyle stoked on his new shoe? Without a doubt.

“I’ve been amped on etnies since I was a dirty little kid! Riding for etnies is one of the coolest deals ‘cause I can design signature shirts, pants and shoes all day long and now someone can actually make all my ideas come to life.”

Who has these coveted kicks in stock right now? The Zappos RideShop, that’s who! Check ‘em out now!
