Cerritos Skate Park is a great mid-sized city skate park located in Cerritos, California. It is a great place to practice your bowl runs or your street course tricks. While it can get a little crowded from time to time, it is still a very comprehensive park to skate at.

Cerritos Skate Park - the Basics

The Cerritos Skate Park can be found at 19900 Bloomfield Avenue in Cerritos, California. The park is 90 feet by 120 feet, or about 10,000 square feet in total skating area. It has a concentrated array of skateboarding features and runs that you can try out. Some of the features that this park has to offer include benches, rails, pyramids, a spine, ramps, curbs, a snake run, drop ins, hips, bowls, fun boxes and steps. Skateboarding and in-line skating are only allowed in the skate park. Bikes, scooters and other vehicles are not allowed in the park.

The Cerritos Skate Park is open seven days a week. On Mondays the park is open from 11:00 a.m. until dusk and it is open the rest of the week from 8:00 a.m. until dusk. This is a free park so you can leave your money at home.

Cerritos Skate Park - the Rules

If you want to use the Cerritos Skate Park you have to be willing to play by the rules. This park is very strict when it comes to the enforcement of its bylaws. If you break one of the rules you will be fined and each subsequent infraction will incur a stiffer penalty. These penalties can range in price from $20 to over $100.

The first rule is that you have to wear proper skateboarding/in-line skating safety equipment including a helmet, knee pads and elbow pads. Next you will need adult supervision if you are 14 years old or younger. Next you need to be respectful of the park and the other skaters. This means no profanity, no loud music, no outside obstacles or ramps, no tagging, no food or drink in the skating area and no littering. Finally the park is not open when it is wet out.

Dressing for Cerritos Skate Park

The Cerritos Skate Park is an outside cement park. This means that you need to find clothing options that will be appropriate for the temperature and that will also protect your arms and legs from cement rash if you fall. Finally, you will want to wear a pair of shoes that fit your feet and that provide your ankles with a little extra support.
