Unmatched Comfort of Naot

I hear that you are sad that summer is coming to an end.  Soon the pool and the barbeque will be covered for the year and instead you’ll spend your mornings rushing around getting the kids ready for school.  The conversations will start shifting from “who wants to go to the beach” to the all too familiar “Timmy, why did Mrs. Smith call and say that you didn’t hand in the essay on the migration of Tanzanian wildebeests in the Serengeti that was due last week?” It sounds to me like fall can be a real downer. I think you could use a big hug. Whoa, not from me amigo, back up. I mean a hug for your feet from NAOT Footwear!!  What better way to get rid of your ‘summer-ending blues’ than with fantastic blue shoes from Naot’s new fall line?  We have maryjanes, clogs, flats, and wedges in our beautiful new polar sea leather—sure to brighten even the coldest and darkest fall days.   The look and feel of these new items is better than ever.  They are already being met with customer acclaim and praise.  So stop stressing that summer is almost over and get into the fall groove with NAOT Footwear.

Until next time,

JD and Stef

Naot Stages an Intervention

Naot, comfort, intervention, style, womens, footwear

Have you ever wondered how those amazingly comfortable and fashionable NAOT sandals, shoes, and boots get from an Israeli factory to your well groomed feet?  Maybe each pair is equipped with tiny wings and a jet-pack? Perhaps Aladdin brings them over here by soaring, tumbling, and free-wheeling on a magic carpet ride? Oh, I know!! Each pair is like a mini submarine, able to travel thousands of miles under water? Well ponder no longer—it’s time to put an end to this guessing game. We are Yaleet Inc., the American distributors of NAOT footwear. For well over two decades, our team of passionate and inspired personnel have helped “NAOT” become a term subconsciously associated with fashion and comfort. When NAOT footwear arrived in America it took the footwear industry by storm. And I’m not talking about a “light sprinkling of rain on a Sunday morning” storm. This is the “board up the windows and stock up on canned food” type. Oh no, did I just hear thunder outside? Sounds like NAOT footwear is still on the rise.

Do you remember the days when comfort shoes were nothing more than giant blocks of dull-colored leather with two hook and loop closures? It just didn’t seem that a person could have footwear that was both comfortable and stylish. Well, we are proud to say those days are long gone.  I’d like to introduce you to some of the newest members of our esteemed “ELEGANT” collection.  The “PAMELA,” the “BETTY,” the “TRACY,” and the “ASHLEY” are not your run-of-the-mill comfort shoes. These sandals are sleek, stylish, elegant, and classy. They are some of the newest additions to our extensive assortment of stylish yet comfortable, and entirely hand-made footwear, that come in a magnificent array of eye-catching colors.  Our many collections vary in terms of soles, insoles, width, and heel height in an effort to make sure each individual can find a shoe that is appropriate for his or her unique foot structure. Not everyone’s foot is the same shape and we cater to that fact. Long live individuality!

Come in close—I want to whisper the secret behind the superior comfort of our shoes. THE FOOTBEDS!!! Sorry, did I scream in your ear? I only yell because here at Yaleet Inc. we can’t stop spreading the word about our uniquely engineered insoles. Our footbeds are a blend of natural latex and light flakes of cork. They are designed to adapt to the shape of the foot, alleviate pressure on joints and remove moisture. Other benefits include shock absorbency, slippage prevention, correct body weight distribution, increased balance and heel bone protection, as well as great flexibility and durability. Our footbeds have tamed even the wildest of feet and have helped people walk the earth in extreme comfort and relaxation. So give your feet a break, they’ve been working too hard. Let them soak for a while in the soothing comfort of a brand new pair of your favorite NAOTs.  You owe it to yourself!! (Written by Stef and JD from Yaleet Inc.)

Buy Comfortable Clothes for Your Day Hike Adventures

If you're an outdoors type, then you know that on a long hike, you need comfortable clothes. This isn't the time for a sexy sundress or those strapy sandals; it's time to choose clothing that is both functional and comfortable.
Start with your feet. While "walking shoes" may be fine for a stroll in the park or a walk around your neighborhood, they aren't suitable for hiking (although plenty of hiking boots can keep your feet happy on those shorter walks). These mid-height boots called the Moab Ventilator Mid from Merrell are perfect for a day hike. The top is a mix of Dura leather and ventilating mesh, and the shoe bed has a mesh lining to help keep your feet cool and comfortable. The Merrell-patented Air Cushion midsole gives your feet a comfortable bed, and the boots are sized specifically for women's feet; they're not just cut-down men's boots. The mid-height provides stability for your ankles to help prevent strains or falls.
Moving on, leave the jeans at home. They're cute, but they don't breathe. Choose these classic cargo pants in a not-so-classic color, black cherry, from Burton. They're made of a two-layer woven twill, and for extra comfort, they have thigh vents with mesh lining. The pants will wick moisture away from your skin, and the fabric lets you move without any uncomfortable binding.
Top the pants with the Trail Runner Warm Tech tee from Salomon. Form meets function with this tee. It's made from SMART SKINTM technology that provides maximum freedom of movement, wicks moisture away from your skin, and regulates your temperature. But looking at the pretty poppy print, you'd never know it's action wear! Panels under the arms give you protection from static and odor, and the flat seams make sure the shirt won't chafe.
Fill your pack with water, sunscreen, some trail mix and a map, and head out for the woods in your comfortable hiking wear!

What Not to Wear: Rules for Dressing in Neutrals

If being neutral was a crime, some of you’d be in prison for life. Yes, I am talking about you. You are the person who buys everything in tan, cream or brown so you ALWAYS fit in and match. You probably are ecstatic now because you found out through that neutral is the new trend. However, before you start doing flips, learn the rules.

Yes, there are rules that apply to dressing in neutral. These rules are designed to help you use all of the colors that fit in this category to your advantage. They will help you avoid looking bland and washed out. So, ready to learn them? Here they are:

Mix Up Your Neutrals
Forget about buying tan in the same color and mixing it all together. This look will guarantee that no one ever notices you. Who are these no ones? They are your boss, significant other and any store clerk at Macy’s. So mix it up! Wear creams with tans and make each neutral color stand out.

Add Splashes of Color
Add bright colors accessories or tops or bottoms with your neutrals. It will help bring out their color and liven up your outfit. Which colors should you go for? Think of orange, pink, yellow and blue. With a neutral offset, you can get away with wearing almost any color.

Go for Crisp Material
One of the worst things in the world to see is a pair of wrinkled, tan pants. The dullness of the color alone makes the outfit look worse. So, don’t do this. Iron out your neutral clothing or buy material that doesn’t wrinkle. This way you’ll avoid looking like a haphazard professor.

If you follow these rules, the neutral you wear will work for you. You will look smart and stylish.

H&M AND YOUTUBE MAKE BEAUTIFUL FASHION T.V. TOGETHER

If you are like me, your DVR or Tivo list is probably quite full, and the thoughts of adding one more show feels like overload, right? Wrong. If you are a lover of fashion, models and H&M, then take a few minutes to view H&M’s new fashion videos on YouTube. Currently there are only two videos up with the promise of twice-monthly programming in the near future, both being quite interesting and just the right amount of information. The first one is an in-depth look at the Comme des Garcons collaboration with H&M featuring model Missy Rayder, who stars in the print campaign, talking about the collection and the collection’s designer, Rei Kawakubo. The second video feature is a knitwear style bible, which as it turns out is quite a handy reference that also stars Scott Schuman, The Satorialist. In case you did not know, The Satorialist knows a thing or two about fashion, as he is one of the most relevant and modern visual fashion archivist to date, outside of the legendary Bill Cunningham of The New York Times.

Just in case you were lusting after the Comme des Garcon collection, it hits U.S. shores today. Let the shopping mayhem begin!

LOOKS OF THE WEEK - LYNN

The ‘Lady Lynn’ is quite the fashion icon. She is always turned out in vintage designer pieces (a little Missoni here, and little YSL there), mixes high and low fashions, wears the most fabulous shoes this side of Vogue’s closet and never, ever looks like she is trying to fashionably hard. Having owned a vintage clothing boutique in the New England area, she knows a thing or two about clothes, how they fit and what works. Mix in her being uber fit, what more is there to say? Couture bows down to this BFF (that is beautiful fashionable female, in case you were not in the know).

FASHIONABLY FABULOUS - ERIC Y.

Welcome to Couture’s ‘Fashionably Fabulous’ videos. Each week, we select and feature one of our very own to style and profile their three favorite outfits and share with us why each piece is a favorite. We quiz them on their fashion icons, what celebrity closet they would most like to raid and what their closet is like. So sit back, press play and enjoy the show!

In this video, Eric is wearing William Rast Ronnie skinny jeans , DSquared2 black patent leather shoes, Diesel skinny jeans and a Paul Smith fedora.
