A Denim Story By Enzo Angiolini

At one point in time, denim-on-denim was considered a major  fashion faux pas. But the fashion landscape has shifted back towards the denim trend in a significant way, especially when it comes to accessories and shoes. Of course, today’s versions of this iconically all-American staple are more fresh and of-the-moment rather than dated and stale.

Case in point, the Enzo Angiolini spring shoe collection offers up some stylish denim fabrications that beg to be noticed. The über-versatile Romario wedge, with its cool wrapped espadrille heel, takes a decidedly fresh approach to the denim trend. For a slightly dressier twist, the Enzo Angiolini Cerick peep toe pump gives off a laid-back, sexy vibe that can even be worn in the evening.

When pairing these lovely denim shoes with another piece of denim in an ensemble, remember that the key is to not match the denim washes. The denim look works best when done in subtle, modern ways and wearing contrasting washes so the look doesn’t scream 1980s.

Trend: Versatile Flat Sandals

This week’s Stylists' Picks revolve around the wonderful versatility of the strappy flat sandal. In this case, it’s the lovely Lucky Brand Caryl that gets the fashion spotlight. Getting the most mileage out of a pair of sandals is exponentially more important when packing for that summer vacation. Here, we've put together four distinct looks that all revolve around this must-have warm-weather basic.

white dress, sandals casual beach style, sandals white jeans, tank top, sandals dress, sandals

Outfit 1:

The flowy and lightweight Brigitte Bailey Flamenco Dress harmoniously works with the Lucky Brand Caryl sandals’ effortless and laid-back style. This flirty ensemble would be perfect for attending a daytime beach wedding or strolling along a fabulous tropical resort. Paired with the stunning tribal-inspired BCBGeneration Aztec clutch and earthy Lucky Brand Ranch Inn turquoise necklace, this look really says “summer goddess” with very minimal effort on your part.

Outfit 2:

For a more low-key, dressed-down look, pair the Caryl sandals with the sweet Lucky Brand Georgia Pintuck Tank Top and laid-back and on-trend 7 For All Mankind Josephina Mid Roll-Up Shorts. This ensemble is particularly appropriate to wear to the beach or the boardwalk. A nautical-inspired bag, like the MICHAEL Michael Kors Marina Large Shoulder Tote in the bright and playful Sun color, makes this breezy look really pop. Of course, don’t forget to protect your locks and your face with a woven fedora like this one by Laundry by Shelly Segal that our stylists handpicked.

Outfit 3:

The next look paired with the Caryl sandal happens to be a picture-perfect daytime date ensemble. The fresh coral and brown palette on the Kenneth Cole New York Tiered Tank goes perfectly with the crisp white on the Paige Premium Denim Roxbury Crop jeans. This soft, feminine look is topped off with a nice dose of turquoise accents in the B.Makowsky Isabel Handheld Satchel and Lucky Brand Wild Flowers Drop Earrings.

Outfit 4:

Showcasing the flat sandal’s utter versatility, the last ensemble is a dressier look that still works seamlessly. The gorgeous BCBGeneration printed dress is perfect for both day and night. Pulling from the soft rose tones on the dress, the ALDO Zembower clutch, in the prettiest shade of pink, really sweetens up this girly outfit.

Trends: Espadrilles

Embrace the season’s top footwear trend this spring in a gorgeous pair of durable and functional espadrilles. Our style experts have crafted four looks from the bottom up to help you jump into the trend. Explore new colors, fabrics and prints to fit your individual taste. Nothing exudes warm weather fashion sensibility like a stellar pair of espadrilles.

As the temperature rises and the summer season goes into full swing, it's important to keep your cool. A pristine summer-white strapless French Connection Caramel Cotton Tube Dress is one way to keep cool while looking abundantly sexy. Add some bright splashes of color with a sassy Nine West Lazar espadrille wedge, a particularly smokin' trend for warm weather. Finish off this sunny ensemble with the perfect accessories such as a punchy and feminine Betsey Johnson necklace and an elegant neutral Cole Haan Perry Street Bella Clutch. The only thing missing from this fab outfit is that colorful umbrella-topped cocktail to match.

One way to keep monotony at bay this summer is to mix up your prints. Take this cool ensemble for instance; it mixes the classic summer stripes of the Joe's Jeans Abby Tank with the artistic floral print of the Steve Madden Starlet Skirt. Keep the rest of your outfit nice and solid, like a fabulously neutral Steve Madden Rapup wedge sandal to lengthen those legs. A bright and bold Diesel She's Got The Lock Bright Charactery bag keeps this look fresh and of-the-moment, and a nice layering of the Fossil Fly Free Jet Mat Multi Necklace adds some fun interest. This is an ideal spring/summer look that combines all the essentials in one updated look.

As the days get longer, there's more of a need to have ensembles that look on point from morning errands to early evening dinners. This cool and breezy outfit fits the bill with a flowy white BCBGMAXAZRIA Cascade Tank W/Ruffle top and the classic AG Adriano Goldschmied Stilt in Engage. A thoughtfully embellished Steve Madden Chryslis espadrille wedge adds the perfect touch of interest, while a sassy bracelet and delicately pretty earrings keep things feminine and sweet. Don’t forget to make it pop with a Dooney & Bourke Dillen 2 Medium Zipper Pocket Sac. This look is extremely versatile and can be worn at work, on the beach or out to dinner.

The temperature is rising outside, so why not help usher it in with a terrific spring outfit? Slip into this eye-catching BCBGeneration Collar Detail Dress and stand tall in a pair of Stuart Weitzman Alex wedges. While you're walking around inciting a favorable furor among the passersby, you'll need to cool off with a small bottle of water. Keep your essentials ready with this vibrant MICHAEL Michael Kors Charlton Crossbody handbag. Crown your ensemble with a vivid necklace and dynamic bracelet. Now there's no doubt about the three-alarm fires you'll be creating in the hearts of everyone.
