Every spring before Easter, Zapponians take part in an annual Peeps showdown to flex their arts and craft skills as well as their fondness for the classic marshmallow treats.

There were some very creative dioramas this year including: “Dancing with the Peeps”, “Hoarding Peeps: Buried Alive”,  “Occupy Peeps Street” and the teen flick mash up —“The Hunger, Harry Potter, Twilight Games”

This year’s winner was our Brand Marketing team with their UP-inspired Peeps display (photo above). Great job everyone!

If you could be a mixed drink what drink would you be and why?

K: I would be a pina colada with a little bit of raspberry swirled in because I'm sweet with just a bit of sassy.

If you had a plane ticket to go anywhere in the world where would you go?

K: I would go to Paris, because I have a feeling I could spend hours just hanging out near the Eiffel Tower.

Pick 3 words to describe your personal style.

K: Feminine, colorful, and modest.

Name 3 things you never leave home without.

K:  My iPhone, chapstick, and lotion.

What’s your favorite part about working at Zappos?

K: My favorite thing about working at Zappos is all of the friends I've made…and I'm a big fan of the nap room as well.

Name one thing you do to cultivate and help spread our culture.

K: I like to participate in the dress up days because it brings out the fun and weird in everyone.

Name three fun facts about yourself:  

K: I can play the piano, my eyebrows are ambidextrous, and I'm obsessed with my Carlashes (yes, my car has pink eyelashes on the headlights).

The Zappos men’s and women’s doubles teams both took home the gold earlier this week! The men’s singles team took home the bronze and women’s singles took silver. Great job everyone!

Last week, our men’s and women’s racquetball teams represented Zappos in Corporate Challenge. The Women’s Doubles team went on to take home the silver medal! Congratulations ladies and great job to everyone who participated.

Here at Zappos, there’s definitely no shortage of runners from every level—from seasoned triathlon athletes to beginners who are just getting into running. That’s why this week, we’re featuring four Zappos employees on the home page along with their picks for colorful running shoes. We think there’s no reason why you can’t look good while putting in those miles every day! Running is just more fun with cool running shoes, right?

We asked our Zappos “models” a couple of questions to delve into their running routines:

J:  Stretching before and after every run is a must, and so is staying hydrated!

S: black, white, and something bright.

S: Stretch for a little bit. Walk for a little bit.  Run for a lot of bits.  Stretch a medium bit. Ice knees.  Eat lots.

S: CW-X, Any brand that offers highlighter-colored shoes –Nike and Saucony do neon really well--, knee-high socks from Injiniji

To celebrate another year of Corporate Challenge, The Zappos Family kicked off the Opening Ceremony with a good ol’ fashioned block party! The festivities took place this past weekend in our future HQ, Downtown Las Vegas.

What’s a block party without food, music and drinks? We had all that plus fun games, face painting  and rides for the kids. We also showed our support by cheering on Tony, Chris, Arun and the rest of the gang during the Executive Relay. The fun night was capped off with the official start of 2012 Corporate Challenge in the Lighting of the Torch ceremony.

A: Comfortable, feminine, fun

What  type of dresses and sandals are you most looking forward to wearing this spring?

A: I’m obsessed with maxi dresses and wedges!

What is your least favorite trend out there?

A: I love jeans and wear them all the time, but for some reason, I just can’t get into the colored denim trend.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

A: The ability to fly. Driving in Vegas is scary and I’m always late, but if I could fly, I would always be on time!

S: athletic, colorful, eclectic

What  type of dresses and sandals are you most looking forward to wearing this spring?

S: I love bright dresses and racerbacks! Flat sandals are always an easy pick, but I can just as easily walk in wedges, which are more fashionable!

What is your least favorite trend out there?

S: High waisted skirts/pants. I don’t find them comfortable and they make my torso disappear!

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

S: To time warp. I could be anywhere at any time!

L: Trends with too many bright colors combined.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?

L: I’d love to be Wonder Woman because she can do it all and still look good while doing it!
