It’s going to take a lot for anybody to top the party that American Idol’s Simon Cowell had for his 50th birthday. The party was held at Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire, England and had about 400 guests who showed up to celebrate. The party had tons of celebrities and even featured prerecorded birthday wishes from people like Victoria Beckham and Jennifer Aniston that played on a giant projection screen. Some of the celebrities that made an appearance were Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, Gordon Ramsay, and of course his American Idol co-stars Ryan Seacrest, Randy Jackson and former co-star Paula Abdul. One person that did snub Simon Cowell was Susan Boyle from Britain’s Got Talent. Reportedly she was too busy with her family to attend the party. It has been reported that the birthday party cost more than $2 million total.

Could Beyonce soon be getting a little stepbrother or sister? A woman named Alexsandra Wright is claiming that she is 6 months pregnant with Matthew Knowles (Beyonce’s dad) baby. She has even gone as far as to file a paternity case against Knowles in the L.A. County Superior court system. Matthew has been married to Tina Knowles (Beyonce’s mom) since 1980. Could this ruin the Knowles family or is this just a ploy for money from the woman? If she went as far as to file a case against him, you have to believe that she really thinks that this is the future step sibling of Beyonce.

Is actor Nicolas Cage hurting for money? It would appear that way. The actor is being sued for $2 million by East West Bank for a line of credit that they gave Nic back in 2007. The bank is claiming that he agreed to pay $11,590 per month and his last payment was from April of this year. The bank is now calling for the full balance of the loan to be paid now. There has been no word from Nicolas Cage on this lawsuit, but you have to wonder what he did with all his money. I have to imagine that he is still making money off movies like Con Air and National Treasure and imdb.com has over 60 movies listed that he has participated in. So, why the loan for $2 million in the first place and why can’t he pay it off?

Jessica Simpson is trying her hand at a reality show once again even though she has blamed her reality show Newlyweds with her ex-husband Nick Lachey for the demise of her marriage. Simpson will be headlining VH1’s The Price of Beauty. The show will follow Simpson as she travels around the world to find out what people think is beautiful. The singer claims that she was “immediately intrigued” when she heard about the show, as just a couple of months ago she herself endured criticism for gaining weight. Simpson had this to say about the show, “I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful. I know we will all learn a lot on this journey and I am so excited that VH1 is coming along on what I’m sure will be a wild ride.” Taping of the reality show will start in mid-July and is set to air next year some time.

Another actress/singer may be getting her own reality show also. Lindsay Lohan met with Ryan Seacrest to discuss a possible reality show. Ryan wrote on his Twitter page, “Met with Lindsay last night about a show idea I have for her…it helps people and gives others a second shot.” Seacrest has produced other reality shows before such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians. According to tmz.com, the show will give real people who are heading down the wrong path $1million to make it right. Lohan would serve on a panel of judges who would choose the winners from the contestants.

There are several inside sources that are confirming that supermodel Gisele Bundchen is indeed pregnant. Giselle married professional football player Tom Brady in two ceremonies this past spring and has talked about how family means everything. Meanwhile rumors have been popping up all over stating that Gisele was pregnant. If you have seen any pictures of Gisele lately, who usually has the flattest stomach, you may have noticed a slight baby bump. Well, now sources are confirming the news that she is pregnant with the couple’s first child together. Tom Brady already has an almost two-year-old son from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.

For starters, like a bad penny that keeps turning up, attention starved former-superstar Lindsay Lohan is reportedly in talks with Ryan Seacrest to pen a reality show about the troubled starlet’s life. While details are sketchy at present, Seacrest has Twittered on his blog that this is the sort of thing that gives people their second chance. Let’s hope so for Lindsay’s sake.

While it won’t be out until this holiday season, Robert Downy Jr. and Jude Law are currently rocking the preview posters for his heavily revisionist take on Sherlock Holmes this week. While 19th century fashions may be hard to come by, men of taste will note that Mr. Law’s jacket style closely resembles Zappos’s own Ted Baker Vanbil jacket . We’ll have to wait and see if the movie wears as good as those clothes, but for now the teaser trailers are showing some high promise.

The rumor mill this week has been pairing Selena Gomez with ultra hot Twilight star Taylor Lautner. While both camps have been mum on the subject, according to Ryan Seacrest’s Top 40 broadcast Selena did recently disclose in an interview that there is in fact nothing going on between the two, and that her favorite Twilight actor is in fact Robert Pattinson. Considering the level of secrecy and misdirection that has surrounded the supposed relationships of the Twilight stars, this could merely be a smoke screen to give the two young stars some privacy.

Speaking of Pattinson, fans will be happy to note he is currently slated to star in the romantic drama Unbound Captives alongside Hollywood heartthrobs Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz. The story follows a widowed woman and her search for her missing children. Fans undoubtedly will be searching for behind the scenes photos of the actors together.

Finally, Sandra Bullock is once again the queen of the box office with her latest romantic comedy, The Proposal. The film grossed over 34 Million domestic this weekend, which is a breath of fresh air for Ms. Bullock. Her last two film outings, Premonition and Infamous, hardly dented the box office earnings sheets, let alone our memories. Hopefully, this marks a strong comeback for one of Hollywood’s most recognizable women.

I guess Jennifer Love Hewitt has gotten over her ex-fiancé pretty quickly. Jamie Kennedy, Hewitt’s costar on the Ghost Whisperer, told Ryan Seacrest that yes and he and Jennifer are dating. The two had been spotted together out in public several times, including celebrating Hewitt’s birthday together. He told Seacrest on his radio show that “We’re more than dating … we’re more than in love.” He went on to add, “I’m in love, and I don’t care!” Kennedy says that the relationship came out of nowhere and that Jennifer is an amazing person. Jennifer Love Hewitt had recently just split with her fiancé Ross McCall earlier this year after planning their entire wedding.

A couple who is reportedly not dating is Britney Spears and her longtime agent Jason Trawick. A source tells US magazine that “They are absolutely, 100 percent not dating. He is her agent, and that is it.” E! News had reported that the two were secretly going out on dates together, but according to the close source to Britney that is completely false. There is nothing more than a professional relationship between them.

People is reporting that John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston has broken off their relationship once again. The couple just recently attended the Oscars together and looked like the perfect couple, but apparently after Jennifer went off to Europe to promote Marley and Me, their relationship changed. When Aniston returned from Europe, the couple agreed not to see each other anymore. According to a source, the couple, “had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other. Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy.” Another source claims that Mayer broke up with Aniston when she got back. The rep for both Mayer and Aniston had no comment.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association officially votes on the awards given out annually at the Golden Globes. Unofficially, though, the ceremony is known as the first celebrity fashion show of the year. And 2009 definitely demonstrated the stars’ abilities to deck themselves in their classiest clothes.

Among those with fashion-to-die-for: Kate Winslet, who looked sleekly chic in her perfectly fitted black gown (Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent). The only detraction: bonny Kate tended to tug at the top of her strapless dress. Demi Moore, attired in a white Dior that contrasted beautifully with her hair, continues to appear about three decades younger than she is.

And although she and Brad snubbed Ryan Seacrest, Versace -clad Angelina Jolie looked every inch the star in a draped gown. Special mention must go to Drew Barrymore, whose exquisitely fitted blue gown deservedly drew gasps of appreciation as she paraded down the red carpet. From her perfectly coiffed hair to her demurely clad shoes , Drew shone like a real star.

It almost seems cruel to comment on some of the truly bad fashion that showed up for the Golden Globes … but it’s irresistible. Standing out among the worst: Renee Zellweger, who for some inexplicable reason (temporary insanity?) decided to slip into a solid white bra beneath her sheer black gown. Huh? Another pitiful failure: Rumer Willis, who wore a badly fitting dress that looked as if it came from a yard sale (hint to Demi: please give your daughter a lesson in fashion!).

Then there’s Maggie Gyllenhaal, a lovely girl who seems to have an unfortunate fondness for fashion errors. She began 2009 with her traditional lack of style by choosing a very peculiar print that had this volcanic eruption of fabric on her shoulder. Could someone please call in the fashion police for this hapless celebrity?

Last but not least: don’t men have fashion advisors anymore? The ones on parade at the Golden Globes certainly didn’t seem to. The one exception: youthful-yet-dapper Zac Efron, who chose a sophisticated tux-and-tie combo, which surely caused more than one young girl to sigh with envy at Zac’s gal pal Vanessa Hudgens (whose gorgeous gown’s elegance matched her boyfriend’s charm).

Is it just me or are twins the latest fashion accessory in Hollywood?

Adding their names to the list of celebs who are expecting twins are Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn. The couple married last year and the twins will be their first children.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are running from the hills – the Hollywood Hills that is. The couple recently told Extra that they are shopping for some new digs away from all the drama that comes with being a reality TV star in Hollywood. Of course, this being Speidi, they were also quick to mention that the home they hope to buy is in the $15 million range (yeah, right) and will be the home where they raise their family in. I don’t know if I buy the whole “getting away from the drama” story, my suspicion is that they’re being run out of Hollywood. Makes more sense, doesn’t it?

As if Ryan Seacrest hasn’t already appeared on a million different TV shows, he’s now eligible for an appearance on Discovery Channel’s Shark Week. That’s right, Ryan Seacrest was actually bitten by a shark while he was hanging out on the beach wearing his sexy swim trunks recently. Luckily, Ryan’s shark bite didn’t prove to be too bad – he was back on the air later that day bragging about it and asking for an Advil. What do you want to bet we hear about this shark bite for years to come from Ryan?

Rumor has it that the Gossip Girl stars Penn Badgley and Blake Lively are heating things up by constantly touching each other and making out on set that it’s making the other cast and crew members very uncomfortable. Not only that, but now that Penn Badgley has a new love interest on the show, Blake is becoming incredibly possessive to the point that nobody is talking to the new girl in fear of upsetting Blake. Anybody else see a cat fight in the future?
