For this edition of Style on a Budget, I’ve picked a few pieces for one of my favorite day looks: chic boho. Every item is under $80, and you can get this entire look for under $300.

There’s something so utterly laid-back and low-key about a pair of moccasins. These timelessly casual shoes are a perfect alternative to summer sandals and today’s versions of the moccasin offer such a wide array of on-trend styles.

Here are some top moccasin trends that fit perfectly with your different summer ensembles:

The Driver Moc: This classic silhouette is so clean and effortless. The Frye Reagan Campus Driver is a great example of the casual versatility of this comfortable shoe.

Nautical:  The red and blue ribbon and tassel detail on the Geox D Goldie 4 give it that clean, nautical feel.

Boho: The gorgeous phoenix beading on the Minnetonka Thunderbird II boasts a very Southwestern feel. This bohemian-style moccasin is super comfy (like house slippers) and lends itself to all the tribal prints and details that are so on-trend right now.

We first saw flat boots in the European streets, mostly in Italy, and the trend slowly transcended from the Italian runways to the States during New York Fall Fashion week in 2009. Incorporate a little bit of European style by wearing some of the hottest fall boot styles, whether it be over the knee boots, slouchy boots, or ankle boots in a flat heel.

Try a pair of authentic European boots with a pair made in Italy, like Burberry’s Flat Suede Boots . These boots are the ultimate in luxury with a rich chocolate suede slouched upper, an engraved plate at the heel, and not to mention a leather lining and sole.
