In between shows and showroom appointments, we managed to squeeze in some much-needed people watching in two totally different locales during Fashion Week in NYC: Lincoln Center (the epicenter of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week) and the hip, brownstone-lined streets of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Where the scene in Lincoln Center mid fashion week was more edgy and runway-inspired, Williamsburg had a decidedly more laid-back approach to style.
Here are a few of the fashionable guys and gals we met during our style-stalking sessions:

Left: Dapper dudes in chambray and sleek suiting. Right: Leopard print leggings tamed with a sheer, relaxed top.

Left: A lovely pair with mint lace and rich scarlet hues. Right: Rocking the collar trend along with an awesome pair of patent loafers.

Left: Denim + leather skirt + pops of purple = amazing. Right: A couple of stylish fellas rocking the cropped jeans with tailored pieces.

Left: Checkered suit and a cobalt bag. Need we say more? Right: Definitely in the running for best-dressed couple!

Right: White skinny jeans transitioning into fall. Left: Breaking up the neutral pieces with a pop of red denim!

Left: The chambray denim shirt done in an effortless way. Right: Another easy denim look we adore. Simple, casual, yet so chic.

We recently had the exciting opportunity to meet and talk to the always-interesting Betsey Johnson during New York City Fashion Week. She was so down-to-earth and cool; we just can’t get enough of her! She even let us sit in on a graffiti session where she airbrushed the backdrop for their latest photo shoot. How awesome is that?!
Check out the new Betsey Johnson spring 2012 clothing line now available on Zappos.com!
Our style editing team was in NYC for Fashion Week and decided to do a little bit of people watching in SoHo. They saw so many stylish guys and girls walking around, they decided it would be fun to do a little “street style” action!
Check out a few well-dressed examples our stylists ran into around SoHo:

Selena: She pulls off the wide leg trouser so perfectly! Very Euro-chic.
Lauren T: Lauren works for Nicole Miller, so it’s no surprise that she pulls off such effortless style.
Erin M: This London resident looks fabulous in her chic neutral palette.
Colin R: Cardigans and scarves are always a great style staple for men!
Tremell H: The classic pea coat looks unexpectedly cool mixed with a Nordic-print sweater and funky denim.
Marc A: His classic-with-a-twist take on the trench is just so cool!
Jack and Valerie: This stylish couple looks perfectly pulled together in clean classics.
Flowy and airy fabrics, colors, and breezy neutrals were the main attractions at the Elie Tahari Spring 2012 runway.
Dreamy pastels and bold colors mixed in with chic neutrals dominated the Tibi Spring 2012 runway show during NYC Fashion Week.
To cap off my whirlwind of fashion in NYC, I was lucky enough to attend the US Weekly party honoring the 25 most stylish New Yorkers! It was my first time walking a red carpet (yep, I was nervous!), but I made it through without tripping!
Among those named the 25 most stylish New Yorkers were: designer Nate Berkus, rapper Pharrell Williams, SNL cast member Abby Elliot, and Rockport's style ambassador and celeb stylist Annabel Tollman!
I also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the amazing Sasha Charnin Morrison , fashion director for US Weekly. And I may or may not have chatted with a cute cast member of one of my favorite guilty pleasure reality TV shows! I will let the pictures do the talking for that! ;)
