As if Santa Cruz Skateboards hasn't done enough for the skateboarding industry in the past 30 years, they've done it again with their new line of innovative completes. In the '80s and '90s, Santa Cruz began to produce legendary boards, designs that would help usher in a new wave of popularity for skateboarding and their latest releases could spark a whole new movement.
In 1985, Jim Phillips drew the Screaming Hand, which not only became an iconic Santa Cruz image, but an image that would become nearly synonymous with the entire skateboard industry. To this day, the Screaming Hand can be found on Santa Cruz decks, nearly untouched from when it was first created. The Santa Cruz Screaming Foot Right Complete is a throwback to the original Screaming Hand design, but the board has been cut into a foot shape and detailed with Phillips’ original aesthetic detailing. The White Bullet B147 trucks and 60mm OJ Hot Juice 78A wheels provide a smoothly stable ride. This complete offers a mellow concave design; with the board being so flat it almost feels broken in, great for flip tricks and maximum board control when flipping in and out of tricks. If you prefer the brands streamlined, old-school styles, the Santa Cruz Eye Pod Complete is a durable 100% Norther American maple wood deck that features original Jim Phillips artwork and a sleek stripe griptape. Cruise and striking speeds with the 65mm Road Rider™ 78A wheels and Yellow Bullet™ B137 trucks.
You don't need to be on the big island to cruise around with the Santa Cruz Rob Tiki Complete. The Cruz Missle II concave design features a steeper kicked nose for added response along with Yellow Bullet B147 trucks and 60mm OJ Hot Juice 78A wheels for cruising all night long. The surf-by-day/skate-by-night set will really enjoy the Santa Cruz Mako Shark Complete, a plywood board with a classic top graphic and sand spray grit. Hang ten on the streets using the equipped Black Bullet™ B147 trucks and 65mm Road Rider 78A wheels. Don’t worry, this board is only 33 inches long from nose to tail, so you don’t need to tie it down to the roof of your car. Speaking of cars, they also created the Santa Cruz Tuck N Rolla Complete, a hot and heavy hot rod-inspired design. The metal flake vinyl topdeck with custom stitched diamond pleats along with a foam liner for a cushioned and smooth ride that doesn't require shoes make this one of the most distinctive styles in the brand's history.
