It’s May, and all over the country, countless events are held every year to help battle that enemy of women and men everywhere- breast cancer.
This year, someone I hold very dear has been battling this menace - and winning! He (yes, he -- hey, Richard Roundtree, Rod Roddy, and Peter Criss all beat breast cancer- it’s important for men to get regular checkups as well!) has finished his chemo and radiation after his mastectomy. I can’t imagine a world without him being a superhero to cheer up kids- just like I never wanted to imagine a world without my stepmom when she lost her battle to cancer 14 years ago.
The funds raised each spring during these events have helped reduce the breast cancer mortality rate, and every year, we are one step closer to a cure- and I am proud to take part in as many events as possible through the year to help support all the charities supporting the community, for the cure, for support of those fighting, and for those around them.
Whether you walk, sleep in, swim, race, dance, or bounce around in support of a these amazing men and women, it’s always wonderful to find amazing shades of pink to do it all in. So, as you’re out there rocking it out and supporting one of my favorite causes, I’m happy to share with you some fabulous pieces to look fabulous in while you do it all!
