For some, it's about uniting with friends to shout support for a common cause from the rooftops. For others, it's a personal fight, for a mom or an aunt or a grandmother who's been touched by the disease. And, for even more, it's about the future: ensuring health and happiness for our daughters and our daughters' daughters. The fight against breast cancer is a cause that means many different things to many different people, which inspired PUMA to ask the question "Who do you wear pink for?" with the launch of the brand's 2012 Project Pink initiative.
"I wear my pink for my grandmother, who recently battled breast cancer," said Ashley Tisdale, this year's PUMA Project Pink ambassador.
Getting involved is easy. PUMA has created an amazing Project Pink collection from which 100% of the profits will be donated to the winning Project Pink charity (more on this charity aspect in a moment). Have a Twitter account? From now until October, every time you tweet using the hashtag #projectpink, PUMA will donate $1 per person, per day to the winning Project Pink charity up to $120,000!
Know of a breast cancer charity that you think deserves the cash? Head to puma.com/projectpink, now until September 21st, and nominate your favorite charity (large or small). Starting on September 24th, voting for all the nominated charities begins so make sure to keep checking in! The winner, and the final total, will be announced at the Project Pink Charity Soccer Game this October in Los Angeles. You can make a difference!**
