We are smack dab in the middle of maxi dress season and some of you may be thinking, “With so many choices, how do I find the best one for me?” I am here, my lovelies, to give you a heads up on how to pick out the right maxi dress for a flawless look all season long.
For my busty sisters, a V-neck or racer back maxi with ample straps or sleeves is a great the way to go! They show off the "girls" tastefully, and still give you the ability to wear a supportive bra! Try not to rely on strapless maxi dresses too much unless you have an awesome strapless bra; otherwise, your "little women" will sit lower on your chest than you'd like, causing you to lose your waistline.

For my curvy fashionistas, don’t let society tell you that prints, bold colors and fitted maxi dresses aren’t the way to go. Plus size does not have to equal boring! Wear your prints, bright and bold colors, and rock a body conscious, hip huggin' maxi! However, make sure you are putting your best foot forward when doing so.

When you are going for a figure-flaunting look, be sure to wear the proper under garments. We big gals tend to have a little extra movement when walking, and Spanx shapewear is great at smoothing out and slimming up your silhouette. Try it under a drop-waist, A-line maxi that flatters every curve. Keep in mind that nice flowing maxi dresses are also a great option for most types of figures. Here are a few examples of awesome maxi dresses for the curvaceous!
For my petite ladies, hi-low maxi dresses are great for lengthening your overall look. With the hem cut in the front, you elongate your legs and create the illusion of being taller, even when wearing flats!

For my athletic ladies, the more feminine the better! Opt for maxi dresses with ruffles, lace, and chiffon to soften the body and create curves.

If you are a little shy about showing your arms, look for an off-the-shoulder look or a simple short sleeve. You are still creating a gorgeous look while staying comfortable!

Lastly, for my skinny misses, you could pretty much get away with anything, so go all out! Don't be afraid to try sleeveless, printed, body-conscious maxi dresses this season!
I hope this helps to keep you looking chic and comfy in the maxi dress of your dreams this season! Happy maxin’!
