“In 1953, Nina began creating fresh and unique fashion shoes with an original point of view,” says Flori Silverstein, Nina Creative Director, who oversees the design of Nina Originals.  “We return to that rich history with Nina Originals.  We reproduced some styles as authentic pieces straight from the archive and reinterpreted others, filtering them through today’s lens. We brought the best elements to Nina Originals, including fashion clogsClogs, skimmers, spectators, oxfords casuals, espadrilles, platforms and lace ups are all part of Nina’s DNA from the 1950s through the 1990s.”

Last year, we were honored to be invited to tour the legendary Nina archives in their New York City showroom. Flori Silverstein herself gave us a first-hand tour down fashion memory lane. It was definitely inspiring to see so many great designs from Nina’s rich 60-year history!

Nina Originals allows women of any age to show off their individual style through fun, fresh footwear.

Destination Weddings

When it comes to types of weddings, a romantic destination wedding is quickly gaining popularity for a couple of different reasons. There’s the obvious appeal of a more intimate ceremony with a small gathering of your closest family and friends—perhaps even just the two of you!

A small destination wedding can also be a more budget-friendly option since there’s less guests involved. You could even take the opportunity to combine your out-of-town nuptials with a family vacation or better yet, the honeymoon!

In keeping with the more relaxed vibe of a destination wedding, check out a few of our picks below for the destination bride! Simple, unfussy looks are best--particularly for a tropical/beach setting.

What to Wear to a Winter Wedding

If you’re celebrating a winter nuptial or two this season, you’ve probably been thinking about what you’ll be wearing. We’ve rounded up a few tips and suggestions to get you started!

  1. There’s a fine line between getting dressed up and being overdressed! It’s quite the faux pas to outdress or steal the spotlight from the bride, so keep it classy and simple.
  2. Lace is a great fabric to wear to both a daytime or evening event. Make sure to wear a good base layer so it’s not too revealing.
  3. For formal black-tie weddings, a black dress or gown in a sleek silhouette is the most versatile choice. You can even wear it again at those holiday parties just by changing up your accessories!
  4. Guys, invest in great suit separates. A single-breasted blazer is a modern way to dress up your go-to button-up shirts for a wedding. Keep it traditional by wearing the matching pant or break it up to add interest.
  5. Wedding receptions usually mean dancing! Make sure you’ve broken in your new dress shoes before hitting the dance floor. You don’t want to end the night with blisters. Ladies, Foot Petals are a great idea just in case!
