Skateboarding is really a sport of great passion, and éS Shoes has always been a firm believer and champion for big skate dreams. The skate brand recently did a collaboration with the movie Machotaildrop, a visually stunning tale about an amateur skateboarder who realizes his pro skating dreams while discovering a bizzare underbelly of the skateboarding world.

This trippy, critically-acclaimed movie takes its inspiration from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with its use of surreal cinematography and quirky storyline.

In collaboration with pro skater Chico Brenes for Chocolate Skateboards, DVS Shoe Co. releases the Chicolate sneaker. This fresh new collaboration sneaker is a heftier version of the classic DVS Gavin CT. It features a Chocolate Skateboards logo on the tongue, foxing and lace tips, as well as a cartoon drawing of Chico himself on the cushioned footbed.

Chico Brenes is a member of the Chocolate Skateboards team, a skateboard company founded in 1994 as a part of the Girl Skateboards family. Chico was born and raised in Nicaragua and moved to the Bay Area when he was nine years old. He soon fell in love with skateboarding, spending his teen years skating the streets of San Francisco.

Since then, he’s been sponsored by World Industries and Chocolate Skateboards. His long career as a professional skateboarder has led him back to his home country of Nicaragua where he opened the country’s first skate shop back in 2009.

BIOM by ECCO: Ushering In A New Age Of Natural Motion

biom, biom natural motion by ecco, ecco, minimalist shoes, trail running, outdoor, outdoor running, minimalist running, men, man, women, woman, mens sneakers, mens shoes, womens sneakers, womens shoes, mens running, womens running

The BIOM Natural Motion collection from ECCO® is based on the principle that by adding support only where the foot needs it, the foot is allowed to move and flex the way nature intended. This departure from traditional stability and motion-control footwear is the basis of the minimalist movement in athletic shoes.

Built on an anatomical last, all BIOM shoes provide a more natural flexion and dynamic stride. This allows your feet to move within its natural range of motion, breaking the habit of a heel-strike stride encouraged by more traditional cushioned pronation-control shoes.

Whether you’re looking for a walking shoe or a fitness running shoe, there’s a BIOM shoe tailored for your specific needs. The thing to remember when first transitioning into minimalist shoes, such as the BIOM Natural Motion,  is to start slowly. It takes some time for your feet to acclimate to the lack of heel lifts and motion control found in more traditional running and walking shoes.

Check out the video below, featuring world class triathlete Torbjorn Sindballe, explaining the proper way to gradually adapt to the BIOM Natural Motion shoes.

His work has been featured in several exhibitions worldwide, as well as several magazines and DVDs.
