Fresh Picks: Rebel, Rebel

Sometimes, a girl just has to embrace her rebellious side. Whether it’s wearing your hair a different way or breaking out a pair of totally show stopping heels for girls’ night out—there’s a little rebel in all of us!

Luckily, one of the hottest trends of the season involves a healthy helping of rebellious, punk-inspired style. From moto jackets to studded shoes to a plaid shirt borrowed from the boys, this trend throws caution to the wind and allows you really show off a sassier side to your style persona.

Have fun with this one! We’d suggest pairing any of these styles with a bold red lip, tousled hair and a spontaneous attitude to go along with it!

Inspired By: Back in Black

The beginning of a brand new year is leaving us feeling rather inspired to take it back to the basics – and what’s more cool, more bare-bones basic thank classic black? Or perhaps last night’s festivities, coupled with all the glitz and chaos of the holidays, is making you want to get back to a more no-fuss, no-nonsense way of dressing…and we totally get that.

Our first street style inspiration for 2015 perfectly achieves that effortless dose of style starting with a great moto jacket paired over a black sweater. Paired with loose black trousers and shiny black flats, this easy-come-easy-go look is ready to take on a stylish new year.

Check out our take on this easy back-in-black look below!

Inspired By: Just Add a Cardigan

There are certain wardrobe pieces that always do an impeccable job at bridging the gap between our warm-weather favorites and the begginings of fall. One of those pieces is the knit cardigan. Today’s street style inspiration does a spot-on job of taking the white summer tee and bringing it so seamlessly into fall with the addition of a cozy knit cardi.

Inspired By: ‘90s Vibes

While the glorious, teenage angst-filled decade of the ‘90s was not without its share of fashion misses, it still sparks a certain rebellious nostalgia that is finding its way back into the current fashion landscape.

Today’s street style inspiration is a simple, casual take on a not-quite-grunge, not-quite-preppy look that epitomizes one of the most wearable ways to pay homage to a great decade.
