+Twilight’s +Robert Pattinson is setting the record straight in the new issue of Vanity Fair. The actor says he and co-star Kristin Stewart are “simply good friends” and he considers her to be the best “young actress.” The star also talks about how he is a very shy and reserved guy and how all this press from Twilight and his supposed romance with Kristin is not something that he likes at all. He tells the magazine, “I guess I’m not the type of guy cut out to do a franchise.” Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has something slightly different to say about the actor being shy. She says that he was definitely not shy on the set of the movies as he was “always drunk” and playing his guitar for others. On the relationship between Kristin and Robert, Catherine says, “What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other . . . Complex, intense fascination.” Kristin and Robert have sparked even more rumors about a relationship as the two were seen out several times together while filming the latest installment of *Twilight: New Moon*, which hits theaters on November 20th.

Jessica Simpson is not taking her sister’s being axed from *Melrose Place* sitting down. The singer voiced her opinion about the show now that Ashlee has been released, and let’s just say that she did not speak too highly about the show. On her Twitter account, Jessica wrote, “CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap? i have had bad scripts to work with, but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press.” It was announced last month that Ashlee would no longer be starring on Melrose Place and had been let go from the show. Her last episode will be seen in January. It has also been said that Ashlee and her husband Pete Wentz were putting off having another baby since Ashlee had her role on Melrose Place. Could this mean that another little Simpson-Wentz could be coming soon?

A rep for actor Josh Duhamel is calling all the rumors about the actor cheating on his wife Fergie with a stripper completely false. The National Enquirer reported that Josh cheated on Fergie with a stripper named Nicole Forrester who goes by the stage name of “Delilah” while filming a movie in Atlanta. The rep stated, “This is not the first nor will it be the last time that a stripper was paid a large amount of money to sell a false story about a celebrity.” He added that the “story is absolutely ridiculous.” E! Online is reporting that they received an email from Forrester’s attorney and stated that she passed a polygraph test about being with Josh. Josh and Fergie were married on January 10, 2009.

Jessica Simpson , who is not having the best luck in the relationship department lately, says that she wants an “intellectual” and “spiritual man.” She says that she can get bored quite easily and needs someone who will keep her “intrigued,” as well as “inspire” her. The singer has not been linked to anybody since Tony Romo broke up with her the day before her 29th birthday in July. So, we are talking about a woman who confuses tuna with chicken and she wants an intellectual man so she doesn’t get bored? Very interesting.

Miley Cyrus is one of the most popular celebrities when it comes to tweens (9-15 year old), but she is also the worst celebrity influence for that age group as well. In a survey on the AOL’s JSYK.com 42% of the voters voted for Miley as being the worst celebrity influence of 2009. The website is aimed specifically at the tween age group. Britney Spears came in second and Kanye West came in third in the poll. There were no reasons given behind the voting decisions, but if you take a look back at the year that Miley had you may see why she was number one on the list. She dated a 20-year-old model, had some racy outfits that she wore to the red carpet events, was accused of pole dancing during a performance at an awards show, and took some rather controversial photographs that were released online. On the other hand, Miley’s friend Taylor Swift was voted favorite female artist while Miley took 4th in that category.

The three Jonas brothers have never been one to fall in with convention and, apparently, eldest brother Kevin’s upcoming marriage hasn’t changed that. Kevin, who, along with his brothers, have been widely known for their commitment to abstinence, has already chosen a best man. That is, best men. Both of his bandmates, brothers Nick and Joe, will be acting as his best men; his bride-to-be, Danielle Deleasa, will have two maids-of-honor to match. The younger brothers are already planning Kevin’s bachelor’s party, which they say will be “good, clean fun.”

While some celebrities are celebrating, others are not. Jessica Simpson was dealt a hard blow last week when her beloved dog, Daisy, was snatched away by a coyote in front of her eyes. Although she held out hope of finding the dog and even offered a reward, no sign of the dog has been found. This horrible incident follows on the heels of a very difficult year, in which Jessica has dealt with criticism about her weight, survived an earthquake in Japan and been dumped by longtime beau and football player Tony Romo. Hopefully, 2010 will be kinder to the singer.

And in other celebrity news, baby makes three! Actress Sarah Michelle Prinze (formerly Gellar) and her husband, Freddie Prinze, Jr., recently welcomed a new addition to their family. Gellar gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Charlotte Grace. The couple have been married for several years. The actress is best known for her role as Buffy in the former hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

Actress Zooey Deschanel is now a married woman. She married her fiancé Ben Gibbard, who is the frontman for the band Death Cab for Cutie, on Saturday, August 19th. The couple had been engaged since December 2008. Deschanel is currently starring in (500) Days of Summer and has been in Failure to Launch and Yes Man. Wishing this couple all the luck with their marriage!

Another celebrity (if you can even call her that) who may be walking down the aisle is Khloe Kardashian. If you don’t know who Khloe is, she is Kim Kardashian‘s younger sister (the one who is not pregnant). Apparently she and her boyfriend of only a month or so, Lamar Odom, are planning on getting married in the next few weeks. Lamar plays basketball for the Los Angeles Lakers and the couple wants to get hitched before he has to go away for training in the fall. This is all according to an inside source that has the scoop from the couple. Kim must be fuming with jealousy inside. Her older sister Kourtney is about to have a baby in a few months and her younger sister Khloe is about to get married. Meanwhile Kim just broke up with Reggie Bush, who she said she was going to marry and have kids with!

Jessica Simpson is having a really tough year. Recently her dog Daisy was taken by a coyote right in front of her. The dog has not been found and it is believed to be gone for good by now. She received Daisy as a gift 5 years ago from her ex-husband Nick Lachey before they separated. Earlier in the year, there was the whole weight issues where there were some pretty mean things said about her appearance and weight. Worst of all, her longtime boyfriend Tony Romo broke up with her the night before her 29th birthday. That one really had to hurt! Hopefully with the end of the year only a couple of months away, Jessica can put this year behind her and 2010 can bring her a much better experience.

They had been together for three years, shortly after Nick divorced Jessica Simpson. The couple has been seen spotted at several places together and was spotted flying together at JFK airport. According to a close friend though, the couple is not back together officially and is just “hanging out.”

In other Jessica Simpson exe news, her latest ex, Tony Romo is dating actor Chace Crawford‘s little sister. Romo just broke up with Simpson in July on the day before her 29th birthday but seems to be completely fine with the whole thing. Some people are comparing Candice Crawford, 22, to Jessica, as a younger and skinnier version of the singer. According to an inside source, Candice, who was Miss Missouri 2008, was “not happy” that her and Tony’s relationship got out to the public, but “they were not trying to hide it.”

In other celebrity hookup news, it appears that Candice Crawford is not the only girl to snag herself an athlete. Reality star Khloe Kardashian is now dating Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom. Khloe’s sister, Kim Kardashian told PEOPLE, “They’re very, very happy.” She added, “They’ve been together a few weeks, and are literally inseparable. Khloe thinks he’s amazing and makes her laugh and smile constantly.” The couple has been spotted out and about hitting the LA clubs this past week. It is also being said that Kim is back with her athlete man, NFL player Reggie Bush, after a short breakup.

Another celebrity who seems to have a new partner (although he is not an athlete) is Shia LaBeouf. The Transformers actor has been seen cuddling and kissing with his on screen co-star Carey Mulligan. The two are currently filming the sequel to Wall Street, called Money Never Sleeps in New York City. There has been no confirmation from a rep on the relationship, but from the pictures of them getting friendly off set, there seems to be more than just a professional relationship between the two of them.

Just when it seemed that Jessica Simpson had finally found lasting love, another of the singer’s relationships has ended on a sour note. Simpson and Tony Romo, a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys , first started dating in November 2007. The relationship seemed to sail smoothly, with Simpson and Romo going on double dates and attending her sister Ashlee’s wedding in May 2008. The relationship recently ended abruptly, with Romo banning Simpson from his residential complex. The ban apparently wasn’t necessary, as Simpson reportedly paid $19,000 to have all of her belongings shipped to her from his residence overnight. To make matters worse for Simpson, two of her ex loves – Nick Lachey and John Mayer – have made it a point to tell the press they do not want her back. Ouch! Hopefully, Jessica will eventually find a relationship that works.

It looks like Britney Spears has come back from the edge of crazy – hopefully for good. Her father, Jamie Spears, has been in charge of her affairs since the judge appointed him conservator several months ago. After Britney’s transformation from a head-shaving, rehab-hopping mess to a girl with a new man and her own tour, sources say Britney’s father is ready to give Britney back control of her life. Although he can’t ask the judge to end the conservatorship, he can ask the judge to review it and determine if it is still necessary. Sources say that should happen once her current tour comes to an end.

Singing sensation Miley Cyrus may have her moments of teenage indiscretion, but that’s nothing compared to the frightening crazy of her most recent stalker. 53-year-old Georgia resident Mark McLeod is obsessed with Miley, and recently made some frightening statements to police in Georgia. McLeod says he wants to marry Miley, has mailed her two diamond rings and has more than 2,000 pictures of her on his computer. He claimed that Miley had asked him to come see her. Officers became especially concerned when McLeod said “I will…be with Miley. We’re supposed to be together and (the cops) couldn’t stop it.” Police in Georgia immediately contacted the Los Angeles Police Department (where Miley lives) to advise them of the potential threat.
